Lovejoy ans~.~ered the roll call. P.bsent: Axone, P:4inutes of the previous meeting held on Sept..26th *aere then read by the Clerk and there being no corrections or omissions vrere approved as read. Thereupon t'.ne Bldg. Supt's rnonthiy report for the rnonth of Sept: ~,aas presented to Council and on motion duly made and carrier eras accented anc] ore'ered r;laced on file. ','!hereupon the Treasurers monthly report ~rJas presented to Council and on motion duly made and carried '•aas accepted. and ordered placed on file. The Clerk then presented to Council a communication from the P,aiiroad Commission advising thz,t the question of rates of the Sr„ Sierras Posner Co, has not been lost sight of a.nd that Council may e::pect to hear from them again at an early .date in this regard. ','.'hereupon it :as duly moved anc; carried that said bulletin be roc^ived and ordered ol.aced on File. The chair then called Councils attention to the collection of dirt on Graha.ri Ave. e;~ashed dov~m by the- recent rain and suggested that Council take some action or that matter. Upon Councils consideration of the matter it 'as ag,-eed to first ascertain if the state !~~ou1d not remove same. thereupon it yeas moved by Councilman Gallagher andseEcnded by Councilman Shea.ne that the P,`ayor be instructed to ascertain from District n2;ineer Sullivan if the State .!ill take care cf the v:ork an6' if not that it be authorized t'.nat the City have the dirt removed vrhich motion upon vote c>as unanimous!,! carried. The Clerk then reported to Council th,t he had been notified by the Corona ;sundry of their suspension of business in Elsinore and z°eo,uesting a refund For the unexpired term of their License ahd the Clerk asked to be advised erhat action to take in the matter. Udhereupon it eras reeved by Councilman iciorton ar_d sec nded by Councilman Gallagher that the Clerl: be instructed to return license to the Corona Laundry with notice that refund on same arras refused by Council ti~?iich notion upon vote ~ra_s unerimousiy carried.
