`The Clerk diem presneted to Council Notices 'of'Completion, prepared by
City Atty. Best covering improvement work in the tidater Dept covered udder contract
vrith 5,H, Coogan et al, and J,C, Hain and upon•consideration of said matter it ra
duly moved and carried that the Clerk be instructed to file said notices'of cornple-
ton. _
Thereupon the Clerk presented to Council the written opinion of City Atty
Best with reference to the publication of the Cit~'Clerks am7ual r@port staing that
the vlhole of his, report be published hoviever ghat pages 1 and 3'of said report co
contained a duplication of matters appearing elsewhere in the report and therefore
it was his opinion that the vahole°of the report exceptdng pages l and 3 thereof
should be published. "
Thereupon it was moved by Councilman Sheane and seconded by Councilman
Rqe that the Clerke'annual report as submitted be`publis hod excepting pages 1 and
3 thereof which motion upon vote vvss unanimously carried.
thereupon the Clerk presented to Council a communication from C,R,
Stbbens County Tax Collector 'giving ndtce regarding to the-sale of .certain lots
appearing as assessed to the City of Elsinore, for delinquent taxes for the year of
1926.
Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Rice and seconded by Councilman
Sheane that the.Clerk be instructed to check up on`the matter of said delinquent
taxes and to report on .same to Council at their next meeting tiahich motion upon vote
was .carried.
Thereupon a cornrnunidation from the River side .Chamber of Commerce was pre-
sented to Council calling attention to a meeting of representatives of a great many
organizations of the County ,to consider the advisability of organizing a County wide
Taxpayers Association to be held on April 5th, at 7 P.M. in the Chamber of Commerce
Rooms at Riverside and inviting Council to send a representative to attend this meet
ing.
Whereupon it vras agreed by she Council that the bdayor and City-Clerk be,
delegated to attend .said meeting as representatives of the City of Elsinore,
The Clerk then read a communication from W,J, Locke Secretary of ~4unicip-
al~ies regarding to his dismissal from office.
III Whereupon it was duly moved and carried that the communication be receive

The Cleric then presented to Council communications fro*n the ~lsinoretBooster
Club soliciting Council for a contribution of 050.,00) for promotion and expenses
of the newly organized brass band,. also to furnish transporation and labor to
erect a large sign advertising and directing the traveling public to the City of
Elsinore „
-.Upon Counci3s,consideratioxi of said matters it uses agreed that consideration
of said izontribui~ion for expenses of brass band be laid over to the next meeting.
'.With reference. to the erection of the large advertising sign,. Councilman
Sheane reported that Mr.~A~cGahan has offered`to furnish tzanspotation and it eras
agreed by Council that Councilman Sheane be authorized to hire the necessary
help to erect. said sign.
i9hereupon the Clerk presented to Council a communication from A.l~f, Eckerson
proprietor of Ecks Auto Camp protesting .to the issuance of a licehse to any person
for conducting a Yvracking and salvaging business adjacent to-his property, stating
that such a business would prove..damaging and de$rimental.to his property and
..business.
Upan Councils consideration.of said matter .it was r~ovad by. Councilman Rice,.
and .seconded by Councilman She~no that the matter be presented to the City Atty
for consideration, vrhich motion upon vote was.carried.
?Nater Supt.. M. Harmon then reported to Council that there is none:hlock of
abandoned pipe on Chestnut St,, wkrch.was not worth, salvageing-andthat Mr. Chas..
.Burnham had. requested .permission to removed this, pipe +~fhich he could use for
irrigation purposes.and asked that. he be advised as to. Councils tisish to the
matter.
?Nhareupon it was moved by Counoilman Sheane .and seconded by Councilman Rice,
that it be authorized to alloxr Mr. Burnham to take out, the .abandoned. water .pipe
on Chestnut Street providing .that he vaould leave the_street in as good condition
as he found it, which motion upon. vote suss carried.
The chair then appointed 9ouhcilman Sheane to serve on the Auditing Commi-
ttee in the absence of Councilman Gallagher.
Bills as audited by the Auditing Committee were then pres~nted to Council-and
on motion duly made and on .call voto carried, were ordered paid and the Clerk was
= instructed to issue v:=arrants in payment of same.....
Thereupon there being no further business to come before Council on rnotian
duly made and carried, Council adjourned to meet. in regular adjourned session oh
_ Tuesday April 12th at the hour of ~ o'clock P.Ni, in, the Gity Hall .the usual meet-
ing place.
