A regular-meeting of the City Council of the City,of Elsinore-
was held on the above date The meeting was called to order i
at the hour of 7 o'clock p.m. with Mayor C. A. Lovejoy in the !
Chair. ° ~

Councilmen: H."Gallagher; O. B. Sheane, S. ~. Rice and ~ ;
C. A. Lovejoy answered the roll call.
Absent: Councilman Geo. H. Morton, Jr.
-Minutes of the previous meeting held on Nov. 13th were then !~
read by the Clerk and there being no corrections or omissions ~ !
were approved as read. ~ - ~ '

The Bldg. Supt's monthly report for the month of 0et. was
then presented to Council and on motion duly made and carried was i ~
accepted and ordered placed on'file.
Thereupon Councilman Sheane reported on the results obtained
from the experiment of shooting the carp in the-lake, stating '~
that such a test has been made but proved unsizecessful, and ~ ~
further reported that VJ. E. Balluf of Los Angeles who is equip-
. ped with seines, has requested that he be granted`a permit to !j
seine the lake for carp, and asked that Council take actioh on !I !
the matter. ( 'i

p~hereupon it was moved by 'councilman Rice and'seconded by
Councilman Sheane that w. E. Balluf be granted $ permit to
seine"the lake for carp, providing that he agrees to dispose oP all
the fish at his own expense, which motion upon vote was carried.

Thereupon Council took up for consideration the pro osed
improvement of Heald Ave, and other Streets to be submitped as a' ii IIII
C. 'N. A. project and upon`due consideration of said matter,. ~ 4;=:

It was moved by .Councilman Rice and seconded by Councilman !'
Sheane that the proposed improvement of Heald Ave. from Spring
St. to Kellogg St., Langstaff St. from Graham Ave, to Sumne r
Ave., Poe St. from Graham Ave, to Heald Ave. and Lindsay St. i
from Graham Ave, to Heald Ave. by `grading and surfacing said
streets with a 24 foot emulsified oil pavement, and the laying ~i '~
of cobble stone ,gutters, be `approved for submission as a project
to the C. W. A. and"that the e$air and councilman Sheane be i.
appointed as a committee with authoriza~Eon to prepare, with the ~
;, ;, assistance of the 'Clerk and City Engineer, an~:application Por
~ llj filing with the C, vY. A. covering this work, which motion was
carried by the following note:
