H: A4orton Jr.- P,?inutes of the previous meeting held on July 10th were then read by the Clerk and there being no corrections or omissions r;sre approvcad as read. Thereupon the Clerk. presented to the Council. a communication from the Cleveln Realty Corp. expressing-their ihcere appreciation to Council for their cooperation byrcontributing to the-recent_boat races and the bluestoningl of Lake Elsinore. 4P}iereupon it was dul:,+: moved and carried that said communication be received and placed on file. . Heppe be received znd placed on file for future consideration; which motion upon ote v~as_carried. ~ I The Clerk then presented to Council Senator L. J. ""hereupon it was moved by Councilman Gallagher and seconded by Councilman Sheane that the Henzie tuay.Co, be.granted an'Off"Sa1c~ Beer license; which motion upon vote cas cersied. Thereupon cIIr. C. Thompson opener of the Pepper Grove Auto Cramp appeared before the Council and.reported-that he has made. an.effort_to have the grade crossing changed sc that it e:i11 line up arith street Avenue ;~ 6 and has been advisad that it mill be necessary for the City to make formal application. to the P.ailroad Commissibn:for-this ch=~nge.and;stated.that if the Gity would file the application he would agree to absorb all costs in connection with this cork, lNhereupon it evas moved by Councilman Sheane that the City Atty. be instructed to m~.ke formal application to the Railroad .Commission for a- re;pcation of the railropd gradercrossing leading to the,Pepner Brove Auto., Camp, providing that P,ir.-Thompson does absorb alilexpense :eroatedin con-, nection with this work, which motion-upon vote was carried. CounciS then tdok up for consideration. and discussed the matter of dog tax. • Whereupon it vras moved by Councilman'Gallagher end ec:~nded by Council- .. man Sheane that Chief of Police-Barber be instructed to make a thorough. . canvass of the City ahd'collect sll dog license tax due .the City or carryout.. the provisions of the Clay Ordinance-relative whereto, -rhieh motion upon vote vuae carried. Thereupon Councilman Gallagher moved that Sec. 36 of Ordinance ~~ 161 be repealed.. - The mdti:on receiving no second the Chair declared the :mot ion-lost. It c;as then reported to Council th,^,t the-City does not have a Disturbing the Peace Ordinance and Council considered the advisibility of the passage-and adoption of such an.Ordinance. ["thereupon it was moved by Councilman Sheane-and seconded by Councilman Gallagher that the City Atty. be instructed to 'draft a ?~isturbipg the Peace Ordinance to be presented for Councils consideration, •a~hieh motion upon vote •?as carried. At the request of Ccuncilman Gallagher the Chair and Ccuncilm=.n Sheane ere appointed to serve on the Auditing committee. Bills as audited by the auditing committee wen.: then pr^sented to. Council and on motion dray made and on call vote carried -r,ere order.d paid and the Clerk s.as instructed to issue warrants ih payment of same. Councilman L~allagher voting yea on all bills excepting bials for-Sp. Sa¢~ers. Thereupon there being no further business to come before Council oq motion duly made and carried Council adjourned to meet in regular session on Pdonday, Aug. 14th at the hour o 7 o'clock P;M.'in the City Hall he usual meeting place. ~ayor C1 r t M
