Thereupon the Treasurer's monthly report-was presented to.Council and on motion

Elsinore Leader-Press,-accompanied by s'caad exprBBSag-their hearty greetings and

the Chair. on behalf-of Council.-expressed-to him their thanks and-sincere spprecia-

whereupon--0rdinance;#229 was--presented to Cauneil on second reading being an
Ordinance of the-City of Elsinore declaring the soliciting .and peddling"of goods,
wares and- merchandise: on .private prapsrt3~ .tai^tseiaF misdeiseanor and probiding'

whereupon it was moved by Councilman Mills.and seconded by Councilman"Roach that
Ordinance #229 bs passed and adopted•as=read,°which motion was: carried by the
following vote:'-" .
Ayes: Councilmen: Smith,-Sheane,.Roach, Fulls and-Matich.

Absent: None.

Thereupon Eouncilman Mills called-ta Councils attention-that; the parallel
parking zone-on N. Main: St. was carried to Heald Ave,and:suggestedshat ft be
.:continued 'far.two additional blocks to-Sumner Ave. :. - .,
whereupon it was':moved by Councilman Mills and seconded by Councilman Smith
that tha.Polic§ Dept. be authorized-td continue the parallel parking zone for two
additional bioeka to Sumner; Ave. and ::also to point out pedeatrien`>lsnes:atr.t}ie
.intersection of Main St.: and Graham Ave., which motion upon vote was unanimously
carried.

~ Thereupon the Council took-up for consideration the matter of connecting the,..
two. public toilets on Lakeshore Drive with the trunk line sewer and upon due
consideration of said ,matter, it was_moved..bg Councilman.,Roaeh and seconded by
• Councilman Smith that it be authorized to connect the public toilate on.Lakeahore Dr.
with. the. sewer,. the City. to furnish..necessary pipe and materiel and.the work 'to be
done by wP.A. labor, which motion was carried by the following vote:

Thereupon,Ioe;;Walker appeared-before Counail-and reported-.on she condition

,. ~hereupon:it aes agreed by Gouncih;•thatthe matter be referred to. the Street
Corrmtiasion for investigation, with. authority-to have-the line .repaired. _
Thereupon it was-moved bg_Councilman-Mills and:_seconded,by Couneilmg~xi Aoach
that a letter be-addressed to Mr. C. D.. Hsmiiton, State Highway-Commissioner,
calling; his attention to the condition ;of the,atate h3,ghway,nlong.Graham Ave.
and Main::St. and: •raquesting. the,-state to-allocate .funds; for the•.impravement- of.
said etreets,.which motion upon vote-wee unanimoualy.earried.
Whereupon it was moved by,Counc}loran Milks aadxssconded,-by Counci7.me,n~Sheane
that it be authorized to: transfer X1500-from:_the Water Fund to the..-~eneraL Fund,
.which motion was carried by the -following vote;,
