Matich in the Chair. Councilmen: F. H. Smith, 0. B. Sheane, J. E. D;Iills and N. Pvlatich answered the roll call. - Absent:_ Councilman F. A. ..Roach. F~linutes of the previous meetings held on Aug. 26th and Sept.. 9th were then read by the CY:erk and there :being no corrections or2omissons vrere approved as read. ,; ,, Thereupon the Clerk presented<to Councl_the Treasurer' monthlyrreport,?which wasrozr motion dulyrmade.and:carried accepted and ordered placed on file. Thereupon the Clerk presented to Council a communication from Peter McConville requesting permission to place a small sign on the light standard at the inter- section of Pdain.St. and Graham Ave, said sign-.directing the way to hefOlympic Fields" and o be submitted for. approval'before installation. 'Thereupon it was agreed by Council that said matter be referred to the Street Commissioner with pourer to' act.= Thereupon a communication from the League of California Paunicipalties we.s read by the Clerk, in which they urged that the City Council on behalf of the F~ity of Elsinore apply for membership in the Laaguei _. Whereupon it was duly moved and carried thaat said eommunicati:on be received and placed on file. - _ Thereupon Ordinance No, 227 was presented being an Grdinance amending Ordinance No. 161 of:$he City d:f Elsinoro.. "dhereupon it was moved by Councilman A.tills:and saconded.by Councilman Sheane that Ordinance No. 227 be passed to its second reading which motion 4:~as carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen: Smith, Sheane, PRil1s and Matich. Noes: None, Absent: Councilman: Roach. The Chair then reported to Council that a number of business rnen on Graham Ave, have called his attention to the road direction signs at the corner of wain j and Graham Ave, requesting that Council apply to the Auto Club For new signs direct -' ing the shortest route to Los Angeles. :thereupon it was moved by Councilman Smith s.nd seconded by Councilman Sheane that the Auto Club be requested to place new direction signs at the intersection of ?main and Graham Ave. which motion upon vote was carried. Thereupon Council took up for further consideration the request cf 'fi. A. Jones, County Health Officer, th;zt the City Council in the future undertake to collect the fees for the inspection of milk as provided by City Ordinance and ®bligate REGULAR R?~TTING OF TIME GITP CGUNGIL Sept. 10, 1935,, - themselves for the definite payment of ~35.00,por quarter to-the County for the inspection. `TlJhereupon it -was :moved'-by-Counciman R.?i13s and' seconded by Councilman Smith that the Clerk be--instructed :to notify Dr. W. AI.:Jone:e that'the City wY1 not undertake to collect the fees for the inspection of milk: 'and crefer instead to repeal the•Crdinance, which motion upon vote v;as carried. Thereupon it was moved by Councilman Mills and seconded by Councilman Smith that the auditing committee be instructed to make an audit of sll delinquent licenses and make their report to Council at=the.ne~t regular meeting; which motion upon vote was carried. Thereupon it a~asmoved by,Gouncilman AEill :and seconded by Councilman Sheane that the Water Commissioner instruct the Water Clerk to present tc Council at'ther:next x'egular meeting.all•note9sreceivedin-payment of cdelnquent water , bills and also that he be instructed o submit .to Gouneil a report-covering current water delirauencies at the meeting following the 20th day of each month, which`motion;upon vote dtias:;carried. r; Thereupon it was moved by.;Counclraa`n Mills and seconded by Councilman Smith that it be authoriied-to.transfer $2000 from the:~Nater Fund to:rthe.General Fund which motion was carried by the following vote: 9cyes: Councilmen: Smith, Sheane, A3ills and Pfatich. No:e's: None;. Absent: Councilman F. A. Reach. .:Bills as audited%by the auditing committee ta~ere,then presentedto:Coundil and on motion duly made and on call vote carried were ordered paid !and .the - - Clerk was instructed to issue wrarrants in payment of same.
