OFF. 6TANOA RD MINVTE REf A regular i~~eeting lof the City Council of the City of Elsinore was held on the above date. The meeting was called to order at the hcur of 7:3Q P. N.. with ~,ayor N.;ilu`atich in ,the chair. Councilmen: F. H. Smith, 0. B. Sheane,,E. a. $oach, J. E. dills and N. iu":-3tich answered the roll cull. .Absent.:: None:. riinutes of the previous meeting held on June 10th were then read by the Clerk and there being no,corractons or .omissions were ,approved as read. .Thereupon the Clerk presented to Council a communication from E. Q. Sullivan, Distriot Er~ineer of the Division of Highways enclosing an itemized statement of gas tax allocation for 1933-35 brennium,, the. total ampuat apportioned being ~plti14.68,,said amount being antirely disbursed and account balanced. Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Mills and seconded by Councilman Sheane.that said state~Iient from the. Division of Highways be received and ordered placed on file which motion upon vote was carried. ...Thereupon the Clerk presented to Council a communicatiop Prom the Crane: Co, advising that the flexible sewer rod which was sr.ort'in the original shipment of sewer tools, is`being shipped wi?.h out added charge._ ,_ thereupon the Clerk presente3 to:Ccuncil the So. ~~esterr.._ Home 'i'e1.Co's annual 'ranchise Tam report for the'year ending Dec:. 31, 1934 with their cheek for yp°6.55 enclosed to-cover tha amount of tax. due. ~ldhereupon it was moved by Councilman Mills and seconded by Councilman I~heane that said Franchise`Tax xeport be received and placed on file and that the check received be depositad to the credit of the general fuhd which motion upon vote was carried. Thereupon_a-communication from the So. Sierras rower Co. was presented to Council acknowledging receipt of Councils request that they give consideration to the lov,.ering of electric rates in the City of Elsinore and advising that at present :~r A. G. Gage Assistant General laanager was out of town and that ,on his return the matter would receive consideration. PUhereupon a letter from the City,-0~uncl of Ferris was read advising that acting open Councils suggestion they have also forwarded a letter to the So. Sierras Power Co: asking-for a reduction in electric and power rates for this district and expressed their willingness to further. co operate in the matter. . 4dherenpon it.was agreed by. Council that the Clerk acknowledge receipt of the letter and tgank the City Couneil,of lerris for their support-and cooperation. REGULAR P~.EETING OF° 'Hli ~ I`i'Y COUP;CIL June .24th, 1935 Thereupon the Clerk presented to Council a communication ,"• from the Recreation Dept. Committee requesting the'use of Graham 'Ave. between Kellogg and Spring Sts. on Sat, June 29th from 2 P.iVI. to 4 P.I. for the purpose of holding a Soap Box Derby. Upon Councils consideration of the matter it was moved by Councilman Smith and seconded by Councilman Roach that the Recreation Commi±;,ee be granted a permit to clcse Graham.AVe. betu~~een Spring an3 Kellogg Sts. oh Sat. June 2°th, on condition... t.rat a letter of consent is secured from the State Highway Dept. and also tba relp from the State Notor Patrol can be secured ~o direct detour traffic: which motion was carried by t'^e following vote: Ayes:' Cbunelmeii: Smith;'Sheane,`Roach and Ma~ich. Noes; Counc ilman IVills. Absent: None.:. ' Thereupon the Clerk presented to Council the Water Supt's itemized inventory covering all equipment and supplies of the V~ater Dept. Whereupon it was agreed by Council that sadinventory be turned over'to the Vdatex Commissioner for checking. .Thereupon a number of proposed City. Ordinances were con- sidered bj Council and it was agreed that they be laid over for further corsideration`at the next regular meeting of Council. Thereupon the Chair reported that he was'3n receipt of a letter from the Auto Club of So. Calif. Submitting prices on proposed entrance signs to Elsinore and presented same to Council for consideration. Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Nills and seconded by Councilman Roach that:it be authorised to_ourchase and. place order for one"sign size 30" x 91`;".the word; Elsinore in 8" letters and wording "~1 Hot Springs tesort"`in 4"`letters at quoted price of`~58.20 installed, pYus sales tax; which motion was carried big'±he following vote: - ° A;~es: Coarcilmen: " Snath, Sheane, _Roach, Dills and Niat;iah. _ Foes: Slone. - Absent: ''None.
