<1 regular meeting of the U'ity Council of the- iity of Elsinore
was held on the above date. `t'he meeting was called to order at the
hour of 7:.30 P.Iu. with 2viayor h. ~iatieh in the chair.
Councilmen: F. H. Smith,' 0'. B. Sheave, ~. A.'xoach, Jt E.
Mills'and N. I49atich answered the roll oaTlc
Absent: None.
Minutes of the previous meetings held on iViay 27th and 28th
were then read by the clerk and there being no corrections or
omissions vrere approved as read. i~+hereupon the 't'reasurers monthly
report; was presented- to Council and on motion duly made and carried
was accepted and crdered placed on file.
't'hereupon the Clerk presented to Council a communication from
the Federal Heserve Bank of los Angeles with reference to further
payment of matured City Hall Bonds and interest coupons, stating
that they preferred said payments be made direct to their bank
instead of through the local bank and enclosed therewith a suggested
copy of letter for the signature of the mayor and Gity 't'reasurer
which would authorize that in the fltcire:,all maturing City Hall
Bonds and interest coupons be paid direct to the r'ederal Reserve
Bank of los Angeles instead of through the local-Bank and upon
Councils due consideration of the matter it was agreed-that it is
preferable to continue to make said payments through the r'irst
National Bank of Blsinore.
Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Hoach and seconded by
L'ouncilman 8heane that the City 'Treasurer be instructed to reply
to said communication and advise the .B'ederal Reserve Bank that the
City Council prefer to continue to pay all matured City ial 1 bonds
and coupons through the local bank, which motion upon vote was
unanimously carried.
'Thereupon ~:. Harmon, Prater Supt. reported to Council that the
City has two 5¢ gas meters which are no longer needed and stated
that wrs. Fayne has offered to purchase one of these meters if
the Council desired to sell same.
'lohereupon it was moved by Councilman Smith and seconded by
Uouncilman Hoach that. Nir. Harmon be authorized to sell the two
gas metiers a±. any price that he deems reasonable, either repaired
or as are and that. he deposit the proceeds from sale with the
City Clerk w'nich mo~;,ion upon vote wa carried.
hereupon the Clerk reported to Council that the proposed
crdinance amending the City license Ordinance ~~~~~~~ was
' prepared by the City Atty. and ready for presentation an first
j reading.
'thereupon it was agreed by Council that said Ordinance be
laid over for study and furthc-r consic<;ration to the next meeting
of Counci L
