A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Elsinore."was held
on the above date. The meeting was called to'or'der at the hour of",7:30 P.M,
with Mayor ki. C. Wickerd in the Chair.

Absent: -None. ,,
Minutes of the previous meeting held on Feb,.llth were then read by the
Clerk and there being no corrections or omissions were approved as read.
Whereupon the Clerk report'ed'to Council that he was in rsceipt of a
dividen8 check from the State Compensation Ina.,FUnd,.,in the amount of. $73,48
'«epre"renting s`'19~ dividend on'~an earnsil premitiun"of $36.70 covering ,the period
from t~ay`19/'1933 to MaY 19, 1934...
Whereupon it was moved by .Councilman 3heane an)d seconded by Councilmen
Roach that said dividend check be accepted and 'placed to the credit of the
general"fund, which a!otion upon vote was carried.
Thereupon the Clerk presented to Council, a communication from A.-:D,,Earl,
cSaiining three days wages due him for collection of garbage on Nov. 21st to„23rd,
1934 for which he stated he has not been paid. '
`" - Upon Councils due consideration of the matter it ,was duly-moved and carried
that Mr,=Earl's bill for"three days 'wages be allowed and paid.
Thereupon the Clerk presented to Council the monthly report of.ahe:Police
Dept. which wee on motion duly-made and carried accepted and,grdered placed on,
?file, ,`. • -
Whereupon Dr. M, E,, Sparks appeared before Council,, soliciting them for
their cooperation and finaneiel''support`to help,`put over a proposed program
of-advertising Elainor®' stating that many thousands of, people..; would be
attract"ed to Southern"Calif arnia'during'the'time of the San Diego Exposition and
that this is an opportunity to also attract many of them to .visit Elsinore.
Upon Councils consideration of the matter it was agreed that the proposed
program of advertising Plainore was a very worthwhile movement, however, that
it should be sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce,
Whereupon:cit was moved'.by Councilman Matich and seconded"bp'.Gouncilman '
Smith that the City Council wait on the Preafdent and Secretary of the Chamber
of Commerce and request them to call a mass meeting for the purpose of re-
organizing an active Chamber of Commerce, which motion upon vote was--carried.

Thereupon D. R. Crane, City Engineer, reported to Council that he has
interviewed the County S. E, R. A. officials regarding the proposed Temescal
pipe-line project and that he was informed that the City's application for the
project would receive their favorable consideraticn.
Upon Councils consideration and lengthy discussion on the matter, it was
moved by Councilman Roach and seconded by Councilman Smith that before any
action is taken on the proposed project, that the Temescal Water co. be requested
to submit s written agreement stipulating what portion of the work they will

take care of and`mhat they expect the City to do, which motion was carried by
the following vote: _
Ayes': Councilmen:' Smith, Sheane,,Roach and Wickerd.

' Thereupon the Committee appointed to make..att S,AVestigaton,of the,presantr '' 1
equipment at the City Sewer plant, reported that they found the pumps in bad
dondition and recommended that eonsi~eration be given to the,;purehase,,o.f new
equipment, which in their judgement.was.:badly ne®ded.
Whereupon the Chair appointed Counciilmen Roach and Smith to confer-with
Sewer Pump Engineers'end 'secure specifications to cover equipment needed and
to present to Council at the nett regular meeting. ,; ,,

former Fire Chief`Tom Boyle was 'a record of drills and fires, which was then--s
submitted to Council. '''' -
Whereupon it was agreed by"Council that Chair appoint s Gommittee,to audit
said record and anttioriie them to take such, action as.is x~eceasary to secure e;
proper accounting. °'
The-Chair appointed 'Councilmen Roach, Matich and ~'ickerd to serve on,aaid
committees '
Thereupon it was moved by Qouncilman_Smith,and seconded by Councilman Roach
that the Water Clerk be required'to poet's boad and that said-bond be-fixed inr
the amount of $2000.00,-which motion upon vote'was unanimously carried.

Bills`as audited by .the auditing committee .were then presented to Council r
and on motion duly made and on call vot"e carried were ordered paid and the Clerk
was instructed to issue warrants in payment of same.
Thereupon there being no further business to come .before•Council on motion
duly made and carried Gouncil adjourned to meetiin regular adjourned session on:
Monday, ?Aarah 11th, at the`hour of ']:30 P.M, in the, City Hall the-usual meeting ;
place.
