Abeent: None. , Minutes of the previous meeting"held on Jan.,27th.were"read, by ths.Clerk and. there .being no corrections or omissions were approved `as read. Thereupon the Trsasgrer~s monthly report was preasnted,to.Council and on motion du made and`carried`wae accepted and ordered placed on Pile, 7Phereupon the Clerk_preaented tc Council a bulletin-issued by the League of Calif, Manicipalities regarding the proposed local option initiative amendment. whereupon it was moved by Couxclman Mills and seconded by Councilman Roach that-said buhetin be received and placed on file,. which. motion upon vote was-carried. Thereupon the Clerk presented to Council a communisation from the Divison'of State Highways covering the accrued as well as the estimated amounts of gas tax to become: due from the ~pS gas tax during the current biennium, to be used-for the im- provement of State Highways in th+s City as well as major streets other than State Highways. a~3 thereupon it was moved by Councilman Roach and seconded by Councilman Sheane that o '' "', said communication be.:referred-to"theStreet..6ommissioner.Yor checking,which motion upon vote waa carried. ~,;; Thereupon the Clerk presented to, Council a communication from the Temeasal water .ere Co, which was received in response to Councils request for a statement as to the ~nP~chy~ quantity of water they have rnn through their pipeline aincs_;Oct. 1, 1935 and in rrv~on,~itrz which they advised that:from:Oct.1, 1935 to Jan 31,-1936 they have run l$17 acre ~a »,-:' ~~,c°l"="' feet of water through-their pipehina and also have"stored about 1000 acre feet of oPle~c ,, water back of-their dam in Railroad canyon, however-called to Councils attention that ~°~~~'' this water waswaste-®eter comingYromthe 9an~Jacinto"tunnel andnot fromthenatural ~'T" flow of San Jacinto river and therefore is not chargeable-against their prescriptive ~M.;~e right $0 2000 acre feet of the-first=flow of San Jacinto river. ~~ ~~;a ~ 9lhereupon it was moved by Councilmamf~ills and seconded by Councilman .Roach that ^~;~~~ ~ said letter from the Temeseal Rater Co, be referred to the 4~ayor, which. motion upon '~~,„~ vote was carried. Thereupon it was mooed by Councilman Roach and seconded by Councilman Mills that the action of Council taken-at'a'special'meeting",oh'Jan;`29th adoptin'g,a:$esolutionrl of Condolence he ratified and that s copy oY said rAsolution be spread upon-the minutes of this meeting, which motiom upon vote.. was unanimously-carried. Council then took up for consideration the-matter of draging the streets and it was agreed that the Street Commissioner be authorized to-have this work done after the first rain or at such-time as he deemed most advisable. ~;: b., 9.
