Water. Improvement Bonde and:in which he advised Attorney Heas that it is his under-
'= etahding that::Gouncil will not levy-any tex for the ptkrpoae demanded in his letter.

whereupon-lt:was-.agreed by Council-that said copy of-letter be received and
placed on file.

Thereupon. the Chair reported to Council that s request is being made that the
City Couxicil act as sponsor for the Recreation Project in Elsinore and authorize to
have a certain: piano used for this work,tuned and repaired.
Upon Cospncil's due-consideration of $he matter,it-was. agredd by Council not
to obligate the ,City-sa-sponsor :of the:'-Recreatrion Project nor to repair and tune piano
asrequested.
Thereupon Councilman Smith reported to Couneil that he has been advised that
the Bonding Co, who furnished Bond far F..!A.Roach,refuaed to cancel said bond until his
books and accounts-base been-audited and cleared.
~Nhdreupon-it was moved by Councilman Bills and seconded by Councilman Smith
that the--standing Auditing.-Committee be instructed to make an audit of the books and
accounts-of-former VYater Clerk,F.A,Roach,which notion upon vote was carried.
Thereupon Resolution No,308 was-introduced and read being a Resolution of the
City Couneil fining the tax lent' far the fiscal year beginning July lst.1937-and ettding
Jnne 30th,1938 as_follows:-
