The meeting was called to order at the hour of 7:~C F.P`.. with Payor 1.I<atich --

Thereupon the rnonthly. report of P.G.Roach nas.~resented to Council sub-

Thereupon the Clerk uresented to Council Legislative Bulletin Pdo.9 of the
League of California funicipalities tint:', upon Council's due consideration of same,
it uvas agreed that said Bulletin be received and filed.-
Thereupon the-Clerk reported~to Council that C.H.Daum,District Supervisor of
~ro;;uction ,,"rbrn the '.'r.P,A.Cf+_'ict„personally culled to report that it is now required
th«t the City furnish,nn addition to housing,the necessary utilities required for the
'n~.F.A.aevfn_g Project and requested that Council taY.e action on the matter and advise
-`the'°i". P.~iiCf*ice if vrilling to assume the expense of utilities for-the serr;ing roorn.
T'3hereupon it was moved by Councilman Smith and seconded by Councilman`P;Iills
that it be authorized that the City assume the expense of furnishing required utilities

Absent..None,
Thereupon the Clerk presented to Council a cormunication from the Temescal
Lfater Company in vrhich they reported that the installation of rneasuring device on Salt
Creek has been completed and invited Council's inspection of sarne and further called
attention to certain terms in the 1927 Agreement which have not been complied caith,
respecting the installation of pipe lines and rneasuring devices required to receive
Elsinore'v; '!alley's share of stored wzter and therefore requested that said terms be
corplied with.
Upon Council's due consideration of the matter,it eras duly moved and carried
that said communication be refenred to the City /attorney for his attention.
Thereupon Council took up for consideration a proposed Ordinance smenrling
Section 1 of Ordinance 203,providing that „ouncil may,by Resolution,provide a flat
monthly water rate for service to public schools,

Thereupon Thrs.Klarer appeared before .Council and oti behalf of the :merchants
of the City,reported that it is their desire that the streets in the busihess distridt
be tllashed at east each trro_weeks and that a .fund has. been raised by the merchants
to take care ,of the .expense ,which they would urn ovzr tb the City. if this cork Till
be carried out.
`whereupon it cads moved by Councilman Smith and seconded by Councilman Perrst
- that t'be authorized that the City I'iee Department be permitted to use their equip-
' ', went and water to clean the streets in the business district provided that fund re-
quired to-taka care of the expense,be furnished by the merchants,which motion,upon
vote,was unanimously carried,
Thereupon the chair reported to Council that he ha.s been soliciked by the
Committee from the Chamber of Commerce for a donation from the City to help defray
tha cost of sponsoring the coming boat races to be held on Lake Elsinore on .>'_pril
S~o"hereupon it ~';as moved by Councilman Smith acnd seconded by Ccuncilman (;'ills
that it bo authorized to donate the sum of wl§.CO to the Boat Race Committee which
motion was carried by the following vote:-

Thereupon it cues called to !`or:.ncil's attention that it is advisable to
have therity Fire Department's R~suse$tat0~` at the Boat Race Sourse,ready for any
emergency in the event of an accidentaa drowning.
whereupon it was agreed by Council that it be permitted to use the re c{py_
citator at the Boat R ace Course and that arrangements for handling the rnatta>r be
referred to the Fire Commissioner,
Thereupon Engineer L.C.Fay appeared before Council and presented for
Council's further consideration the contents of his report,covering his recent sur-
vey of the City's 'dater Plant and recommended changes suggested to bring about a.n
eennomical and efficient operation of the system.
Whereupon it v:as moved by Councilman ',dills and seconded by Councilman Smit
that it be authorized to engage Engineer h.C.Fay to prepare a set of schemeatic plan
and specifications covering his proposed electric daiven plant,cohich *.notion vas car-
ried by the following vote:-
Ayes....Councilmen Smith,Per-ret,}.4ills and t,atich.
Noes....Councilman Burnkxam.
Absent..None.
Thereupon the Clerk presented to Council a contract submitted by the Calif
ornia-Nevada Electx•ic Corporation and approved as to form by the City ~?ttorney,said
contract covering application for electric service under schedule P-32.
Upon Gouncil's due consideration of the terms of said contract,it was mov
by Councilman ;mills and seconded b~Z Councilman Perrot that the 1:~?ayor and the City
C1erY, be authorized to executs said contract wit}z the Nevado-California Electric Co
for electric service under schedule P-32,vrhich motion ~~~as carried. by the following
vote:-

to Council and on motion .duly. made and on call vote carried,irere ordered paid and the Clerk
vdas instructed to issue warrants in payment of `same. '
Thereupon there being no further business to come before Council,oh'`motioh duly made
and carried Council adjournsd'to meet in regular session. on'idonday ApriY,25th at the hour
of 7:3G P.T.... in the City Hall,the usual meeting place.
