The meeting was called to order at the hour of 7:30 P,",i, vrith T;layor I'atich in the chair. Councilmen:- F.H.Smith,A.S.Burnham,Henry Ferret,J.E.",;ills and :?,,,ranch answered the roll call, ;absent:- None, P.;inutes of the last meeting held on t."arch 3th c+ere then read by the Clerk and there being no corrections or omissions,ciere approved e.s read, ` - ~''lhereupoh the Clerk presented to Council a comnuniePticn from the State Division of'Highways submitting an estimated apportionment of the one-quarter cent gas tax allocation for the ig37-3g bi=ennium'for a.ll into::>~,orated cities included in State Highway District IQo, 8; the amount apportioned to Elsinore being 5p2270.00 for streets of major importance and alike amount for State Hiphw~y 'a`Jhereupon it was moved by Councilman ^4ILLS and seconded by Councilman Smith that said report be received and ordered pl«ced on file,which motion upon vote vt~as car- ried. ' Thereupon the Clerk presented to Gounci.l'a letter received from City Attornj Eugene Best;commenting upon a`lstter received from the Temescal'~7atrr Compamr;addrsssec to the City Council,and which was enclosed'thereyrth,said letter being relative to the suit filed by the City of Elsinore against the Temescal „'ui:er Company and in crhich they expressed 'their desire to adjust the matter in a freindly may and stated that they are still willing to talk compromise and peacc'if'the I'asinore people v»ish to avoid a lay+rsuit; ~'Jhereupon it was duly moved and carried that said communications be receive and placed on file. Thereupon the nerk'presehted to Council a copy of 'h, complaint filed in he action of the City of Elsinore vs Temescal t"later Company,~e~Yrich vas submitted by city Attorney•Best for the City's files. ;"hereupon it tree duly moved and carried iihat said copy of complaint be ceived and filed. Thereupon Engineer L. C.Fay appeared before Council and presented to each inber a copy of his written report cn survey made of the City r,^ater Plant,ther•eafter tiding said reiport and in an info-r•mative Bray explained his -recomr!rendatious and sug- stions contained therein, - Upon Council's discussion and considerationo;'i,he proposed changes con- ned in the report, it was agreed that, before action be taken that the ISevada Califor ctric Corporation be further consulted to secure a definite statement of cost of kup a.nd a.rra.nge locations for distribution of service. i0kzereupon it ~rtczs moved by Councilman Lulls and second ~d by Bouncilma.n Smith t the chair be instructed to appointGa committee to contact the Power Eenresentatives arrange for a rneeti~g vrith Council at an adjourned meeting,to further consider their posal,wrhich motion upon vote eras carried, ^t he chair appointed Councilman Smith to serve on this ccmrnit$ee. _ Thereupon Legislative: $ulletin No.7 of the League of California f4uncpalities w<^s presented to Council and. on motion duly made and. carried,vias received and .ordered placed' on file.:::. Thereupon the Cler}: presented to Ccuncil a corrx~unicrtion from Ray Ingels, Chairman of Traffic Safety !:orarlission,in whicYr he submitted,an outline of. the 1937 Stateticide Inter-city Traffic Safety Contest and urged. that Pisinora participate in this humane effort. vu`hereupon it was duly moved and carried that the communication be referred to .:the Police Department, Thereupon Council took up for further consideration,the enforcement of .the City Ordinance providing foi' the licensing of dogs and it was agreed that said. Councilman ?,ills and seconded by Councilman Burnham that the 1'ar:; Ctomraissioner oe authorized to proceed ,with hi, proposed improvement o= the• pity Park which moticn_uoon vote i~tas unanimously carried. • Thereupon. it Maras moved by Councilman-P;lills-a.nd seconded by Councilman Perrot t'nat it be authorized to transfer X732,50 from the 'e'ater Fund to the 192C Street Im- provement fiond Fund which motion was carried by the following vote:- „ :,yes-Councilman Smith,Burnham,Perret,i:tills and 3atich, _ Noes-None. nbserit-.`Bone. Bills in the amount of ~2037,3C as audited-by the auditing comraittee'iaere theyi presented to G`ouncil and. on motion duly made and on call vote carried i^fere ordered paid and the Clerk vies instructed to issue warrants in p ayment of same.. Thereupon there being no further business to come before, Council, on motion duly made and carried,Qouncil adjourned to rleet in regular adjourned session on-Thursday, .arcri 25th at the hour of 7:30 P.T;:, in the City Hall,the usual meeting place.
