above date.
~ The meeting eras called to order at the hour of 'T:30 Pa.?, with Layor',"",?atich
in the chair.
Councilmen:- F.H.Smith,A.S.Burnham,Henry Perret,J.E.Pdi11s and idaD.4atich an-
swared the roll call,
Absent:- Tdone,
"' `P."inutes of the last meeting held on January llth,mere then read by the Clerk
and there being no corrections or omissions mere approved as read.
Thereupon the Clerk presented to Council a"communication giving Notice of a
meeting of the Imperial Highway association to be held in the dining hall of the
Lake ilsinore Naval and P.4ilitary School on Saturday,Jan,30tli,at the hour of 7:30 P,PIr,
and urging Council to attend said mec;ting.
'UThereupon it was agreed by Council that the'card be returned making r•eservati~
f>Dr'fcur at said meeting,
Thereupon the Clerk presented to Council a communication fron E.C.COllatz,
a'local director of the Imperial High~bay 9ssoeiation,advising that the committee in
charge of arrangements for the coming meeting of-the Imperial Highcaa}i 4ssociation,
mill be to some expense and .therefore requested that Council authorize a donation of
,"yl§,OO to: help defray the expense of said meeting.
' t"thereupon it 4vas duly moved and carried that said communication be received
~ and filed.
It vvas then moved by Councilman Sraith and seconded by Councilman Psilts that
it bs authorized to donate k10,00 to the local committee to help defray the expenses
of Imperial Highvva}/i~4eeting,which motion eras carried by the folloa:ing vote:-
dyes:- Councilmen Smith,Burnharn, Perret,T,iills and tatich,
?Noes:- None.
,absent:- None•
Thereupon the Clerk presented to Council a communication from Sheriff C.F.
Rayborn enclosing therewith a bill in the sum of X100,00 covering the City of Elsinor
share far the maintenance and operation of Radio Station K.S,B.C. to June 30tii,1937.
4`Thereupon it was duly moved and carried that said communication be re-
ceived and the bill be filed for audit and payment,
\ Thereupon Councilman Smith reported to Council that he has been informed
that the ~?.P. Officials hale refused to grant the local Red Cross Committee the
use of the sewing room for eveningrameetings,
7Jhereupon it was moved by Councilman Burnham and seconded by Councilman
Perret that the local Red Cross Committee be granted permission to use the City
Council Room for their lectures and their meetings which motion,upon vote,tiaas uhani-
mously carried.
' Thereupon E.C.:~ickerd'appeared before .Council and presented for Council's con-
sideration a_pettion--signed-by-232 citizens and: axpayers-of the City and' Ualley`,of
' Elsinore,earnestly requesting'the'Couhcil take definite action on the matter of`filing
a suit.against,the,Temescal kxater Gornpany to.enforce the terms of a certain contract
that noi~a exists between certain citizens of the valley and the City and the Temescal
;;'titer Company and thereby obtain water for the Lzke which is beir:g impounded and
diverted by the Terrescal mater Company and ~~hich the citizens feel. rightfully belongs
in the Lake.
thereupon the Glerk read the petition and the names of the, signers<..
P3hereupon after the Council's due consideration of the~rnatter,it eras moved by
Councilman P,iills and seconded by Councilman Srnith that said petition be received and
presented for further consideration at a joint meeting of the Council and the Officers
of the Lake Elsinore Valley '.?titer User'.s Association to. be held on Plednesday,Jan.2']th,
and then that said petition be placed oar fle,ivhicir motion., was carried by the follovaing
vote:-

Bills in the amount of X1913.§9~as audited by the auditing cor,~mittee were
then presented tq Gouncil and on motion duly made anr.' on call vote ca.rried,were
ordered'pnid and the Gler'.c vias instructed to issue vaarrants in payment of same.
^thereupon there being no further business to come before Gouncil,on motion
` duly rhade and carried,Council adjourned to meet .in regular session on 11lgnday,Feb.8th,
at the hour of x;30 P.P?, in the City Hall ,the usual meeting place,
