The Chair reported to Council that"this'mattar has been taken care of as t'r.e
roots have been removed from-the line'and sug'gested'-that in th'e Puture if line i5
regularly cleaned out te;o or three times a year, there mould be no Surther trouble.
Thereupon the Clerk presented to Council a cor.~ununication fx•om the League of
Calif"ornia:Fnunicipalites in cahich they advised relative to their proposed intention
of increasing the annual dues for the year 1)39- and suggested that-Ccuncl for>,aard
their consent to being billed ~6§, 00 for the 1939 duos instead of the usual s",j0.00
Council took no action on the matter.
Thereupon the Gierk presented to'CCuncil'the Ahrfual report of the Division of
Highways covering the expenditures made=froiir"the one-quar+.er ceht fund by :kie
::^.epartment during the fiscal year ending June 30th 1938 for general maintenance
of State Highv:ay Routes, ~7 and--"]$ v;i~thin the Gity of'1slsinore.- -

Thereupon the Clark presented tc Council a tabulation submitted by the
Division of Highways sho:=ring the apportionment of the Cct, 30th 1°38, quarterly
payment of the nrie-quarter cant gas tax allocation for Streets cf kfiaier Irnnortance
the Gity nod Elsinore., being credited vaith X319.12
Sdhereupon it was-:duly moved and carried that said gas ta;; repot be received ant'.

Thereupon the Clerk reported to Council that a check of the minute records,
shows that former Councils have authorized the Fira Dept. to respond to fire calls
from cutside the.City, subject to the discretion of the tiro Chief.

The, Chair appointed Counclman_taiaey to serve on,this Committee.
The Clerk then reported to Council that P,e has ecnfered with the City B.tty, relative
.necessary action io be taken io correct error in early survey fixing she width of imitsd
hve, at 80 ft. while actually being„o,nly 60 ft>: in ,ydth and that the City.Atty, advised'
.that correction desired can~only be accomplised,byccarrying:rout.regular proceedings pro-'
vided for the closing of or vacating all or a portion of streets.
Upon Councils consideration of the matter it was_agreed Ghat the<.Chair appoint a::

Thereupon Council took up for consideration the matter of .providing for the annual
'Xmas Tree, tc,placed at, the intersection of P¢ain.st.;and Graham;~.ve,_a.nd it-aa~a .agreed b;r

Thereupon Eouncilman Perret called, ,to C.ounc,ils attention that much of the: sidewalk
in the business.di~tric:t-on Ilan St, is in.bad,ponditon and suggested t}at action be !`
taken to order its repair. ,
