Thereupon notice from County Auditor Ray T, hicks was. presented io Council. in which he`advised that in accordance with the provision of statute claim must bs toads .Eon the proposition of proceeds due the City from the sale of the'"fo~Ic.:`irig tax delinquent property: `'~ Lot 9 Blk, 4 C,G.H. Unit # 2 X1.00 Lot 1 Blk. 2 Edgemont Palk X19.00 Said claim to be filed with the Councty Auditor on or before April 19th, 1939- ~iJhereupon it was duly moved and carried that tho City Glerk be authorized to file the required claim on behalf on the City.. The Clerk then presented to Council tho written application of Edcard g, Blake plying for the positions of 'Hater Clerk„ License Clerk, City Judge. and Building spector. thereupon it eras moved by Councilman Pdiils and seconded b}~ Councilman t="acy at-said applica"tion be received azd filed for future consideration which motion on voto was carried, Thereupon the Clerk presented to Council the report of Preston D. Or em C.P,~. vho made an audit of the City's books and records covering the period from P~Say 1st, 1936 to June 30th 1938- the Cleric reading the four pages of comment contained in % said .report and delivered tvao copies of same to Council for study of the schedules contained therein. Councilman Lovejoy then reported to Council that lie k;as been interviet+ed by number of citizens who have requested that Ccuncil give consideration to the reation of a zoning district to prohibit the establishment of business 'r,ouses in oe residential distract to prohibit the establishment of business houses in tYie ssidential district of the City. Howard Habenicirt and Chas. Poore then appeared efore Council and expressed their interest in such a movement and stated tk:ai f the proposal teas feasible they c~ere in favor of Council taking necessary action.
