Thereupon the Nevada=Calif E1'ectr~.c Corp: 'franchise tax statement for the "year ended Dec,: 31st, 1937 together with their check :for ~i1Ei5',42 to cover tax due was presented"to Council. `,`Thereupon it was moved by Councilman p.Rills and seconded by Councilmen Verret that said Franchise Tax report'be accepted and-filed and that Check received for 5165,42 be deposited to the credit of the General Fund, which motion upon vote was unanimously carried. Thereupon the Clerk pi-eaonted to Council"statements of t^rQ.ter withdrawal .by the Temescal Water"Co. :during the months of February to July,irclusive, from their' Railroad'Canyon PLeservoir'. Whereupon it vras moved by Councilman Pdills and seconded by Councilman P,erret that the'TemesSal Water``Co's report o£ water'withdra~rals be received and ordered u on vote.,, filed` `vr!iich'motion' p' was carried, Thereupon the Clerk presented to Council the statement submitted by„the Division of Highc+ays, shouting the apportionmebt of the`July 1938, quarterly,.. payment of the one-quarter cent gas tax allocation for Streets of Pdajor importance in Elsinore to be 5295.14 ' - Whereupon it was duly moved and"carried that said report"be received and 'ordered `filed: __ r -r ...; ' Thereupon the Clerk presented to Council; Project Statement submitted by the State Division of highways, providing for expenditure of one-quarter cent "gasoline tax funds for Streets of Piajor Importance securing to the City during , 'the fiscal year ending''June 30th, 1939. REGULAR P,:~TING CF T?IE CITY CCL'NCIL AUGUST 22nd, 1938 . . r Thereupon Council took np ,for further consideration the„terms provided 'inrthe Comprehensive Municipal Liability Policy issued to the City by the Pacific Indemnity ' Company and"'upon due consideration of same, it was moved by Councilman '?dills and°' seconded. by Councilman tdacy that said policy be approvad,and accepted and, that the effective date of said polity be fixed as of August 1st, 1938 which motion teas carried by' the 'following vote: ' Ayes: Councilsen Piacy, Perret, Edills and. tCatich. - . ` Noes: None, , Absent: None. ~ " Thereupon the 'Clerk presented to Council the bid submitted by Preston D. C!rem certified Public Accountant, in which he agreed 'to make an audit of the City.',s books and records for a fee of X150.00 and upon Councils due consideration of all bids received, it +mes.moved by Ccuncilman Perret and,, seconded by Councilman Pdacy that Preston D. Orem be_,awarded a contract to, audit the City's books .and records for a fee of ~150;.C10 to include all expert.§es,wwhch motion was curried by the following : vote.: Ayes: Councilmen tdacy, Perret, tlfilla and Matich, .Noes: .None. <t, ,,.:Absent:, None.. Thereupon it was moved by Councilman tFills and seconded by Councilman Perret that, the resignation,filed.y~ith,:Council by Irwin unos, as Garbage, Collect or-be accepted and that.Q7.: L. Burgess be~appointed to fill the position of Garbege .Coll- eator to take effeot as of this date, vrhich motion was carried bg_the following, vote: ` Ayes: Councilmen Macy., Perret, AIIills.and Pdatich. P7oes: None. ,:Absent: None; _,. _. Thereupon Resolution_,~323 was introduced and read, being a.Resolution of the Citj`CeunciY, providing that a certain deed dated;June 1st, 1938;.executedby C.;. R. Stibbens County'Tax Collector, granting to the: City ,of Elsinore, gertan.real property situated in the City of Elsinore, be accepted. '1'Jhereupon it was moved ,by Councilman Mills and seconded by Councilman 'lacy that Resolution No'323 be passed and adopted as read,.which motion was, carried by the following vote: -. Ayes: Councilmen Macy, Perret, ?I:ills and Matich. Ploes• "None.
