'Kelly"Pi"pe Go. bid "on 10 inch O.D, Lainaeld pipe, weight 18.36:per ft.~""the price of X1.01 per ft. and on 10~ inch O.D. Lapweld Steel pipe weight 24.6 per ft. the price of X1.36 and for welding and placing said pipe in ditch the price of X1.11 and w1.46 per ft. The Pennsylvania Iron and Steel Co, bid on Standard Black pips 10.5 C.D. and 10.19 I,D. ~aeight 32,E per ft. at quoted price of X1.$1 per ft. ~;Jhereupon it was moved by councilman Mi11s and seconded by Councilman Perret that all bids received be referred to the l9ater commissioner for study and that the .chair appoint a Committee to work with the Cammissioner and that said committee be authorized to act on the bids received, which motion was carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen Harman, ?lacy, Ferret, Bfills and A~Iatich. Noes: None. Absent: Nona. The Chair appointed Councilman Harmon to serve with the :'dater Commissioner on said Committee. Thereupon the Clerk presented to Council a communication from City Attornsy Best in which he advised that an action has been filed and served on him, brought by the So. Calif. Telephone Co. against the City of Elsinore for the purpose of recovering the sum of X60,23 for taxes for the year 1937:-1938 Paid under protest. Thereupon the Clerk pressnted to Council a petition filed by the State ' Veteran s ~Ielfare ?3oard,-requesting the cancellation of certain taxes now appearing on the`tax records as a lien against property owned by lair Board in the .City of Elsinor@~. - --- _:., whereupon it v:as moved by Councilman Fdills and seconded by Councilman Perret t}iat said petition be referred to the City Attorney for checking and approval , which rnotion upon vote was carried.
