"- Ab`sentt Mayor Nc'fidatrich Thereupon the minutes of the last regular. meeting held on April 25th were read by the Clerk and there being"no c'orraetions or omissions tivere apprpved ae read. _ ,..,,. , , The Treasurer's monthly report was then presented to Council and on motion duly:-made and 'carried was accepted and^orde~ed''gTaeet3'on file. '" ?Nhereupon the, Water"Clerks report for the months of Feb,''Pdarch and April was presented to Council and on motion duly made and carried was accepted and,.:. ordered. placed ;on% Yile,' . ; _,. -: , . Thereupon a copy of report of tha'Uniform'Businees License Committee, submitted to the meeting of Gitrua Belt 77ivision of California PJlunicipalities held at Ontario, April 22nd, 1938 was presented to Council for their in- formation. Whereupon it was moved by Councilman IRills and seconded by-Councilman° Harmon that said report be received and placed on file for future consideration, which motion upon vote was carried, Thereupon the Clerk presented to Council a communication from City Atty. Beat in which he enclosed the County Clerk's bill for the Clerk's transcript in the Temescal Water Gompany case in the amount of X1'],10 and further advised that the reporter's transcript of the testimony will probably be ready in thirty days and that the estimated cost of same is $250.00 which is a very reasonable price considering the length of the transcript. Whereupon it was duly movod and carried that said communication be re- ceived and filed, Thereupon F.4essrs Stillwell and Newman appeared before Council and reported that a boat house owned by H. J. Stevens has been placed at the end of Spring Street on the Lake Shore and that same was interfering with the launching of boats at this landing and therefore requested Councils cooperation by taking action to arrange for its removal to Borne other point. Whereupon it was agreed by Council that the matter bo referred to Councilman Harmon for his attention, Thereupon Ross A°illard submitted his bid to Council for the repair of the side+xalks ~ curbs taken up in connection with the installation of the new street lights on the east side of Main St, RL'GULAR R4EF2TNG OF THg CITY CCUNGIL P:A7 9th 1938 ~-, Whereupon it was moved by Counclman'FIIi1ls~and seconded'by Gounc~lman P.?acy that;_said bid be received and'-placed on file for further conaideratvon,;whch motion upon vote ~uas carried; Thereupon Councilman P,4ills reported to Council that the City Atty. has advised that the. City assumes-no liability„in allowing ,swings to be;placed-in the_City Park, providing that'~~said equipment `is kept in good order. - Ydhereupon it was moved bysCouneilman Mills and ;seconded;by;Councilman Harmon that the offer ;of the :Professional axid.Business 6Yomans Club to install a awxig•in '°' the City Park be accepted and that they be informed to contact the.P,ax`k Commssidner as to the location for its installation, which motion upon vote was carried. Whereupon at was moved by Gouncilman 2di11s;and,seconded,:by Gouricilman Macy that it 'be author`iied to~transfer,~2000,00 from the,!;dater.Fund tc-'the General Fund?' which motion was carried by the follovring vote: Ayes Councilman Harmon, Macy, .dills anal Perrot.
