Thereupon the Clerk presented to Council a communication received from City Atty. Best, in which he, advised regarding City of Elsinore V.,$. Temescal 11ater st Co,:.ating that he finds 'that it is necessary to mmediatgly,prepare and file a:braef.in . opposition to`the one filed by the Temescal water Co, in the SupremeCourt� and 'that� it is now-ready to bs,printed and that:..he has -as cured.,a.bid;of .80¢.,per page -from the Elsinore Leader.Press for printing this brief whzis the .cost in Riverside >would,: be *1.00 per page and therefore requested that he be authorized to have it''printed by Mr. Frishman. Whereupon it was moved by C0411klman,, Mills and seconded by Councilman Parr et that the City Atty. be authorized to place the printing of the prepared brief with the Elsinore Leader Press which motion was carried ,by the ,. following vote;: Ayes: Councilmen: Lovejoy, Macy, Perret, villsand ilatich. Noes: None. Absent:` None. ` Thereupon a second communication from City Atty. Best was presented to Council in which he.advised regarding Bagley VS .City- of :Elsinore, stating that on.April -24, he appeared in Court and argued.a demurrer to the first amended complaint and that.,,. his points were ,sustained and the Plaintiff,was. allowed 15 days.in whch;to further amend her complaint if she so desires. Whereupon it was duly moved and carried that said communication ;be received and placed on file: Thereupon a communication from the Sate Controller was presented to Council with enclosed City's. copy _of an agreement to _purchase certain lands, located, in the „City of Elsinore and in.w-hich he advised that the Tax collector, of Riverside has been,givan notice that`the "State Controller has approved. this sale.and that the.make the necessary publication as required by lav-. whereupon 'it was duly moved ;and,catried that said communication and: copy, o£ agnee- ment be received "and placed on file. . Thereupon the Clerk presented to Council a communication addressed to Council an; Lovejoy from the workd Progress Administration in which they advised that they are,' receptive to receive applications from the City, of Elsinore for proposed w. P „.A. Proje cts, however requested that they first be. furnished with tentative plans and certain- data to assist , them in ":tYie "preparation of the applications to be.filed whereupon, it was agreed by Council to meat in conference on Friday evening.May 12t to further consider matters in connection with plans for filing applications for certain' inactive funds and suggested that it is proper and advisable to transfer said balances to the general fund and the 1938 Imp. Bond Fund. Whereupon 1:V was moved by 'Councilman Mills 'ond'seconded by Councilman Perret that it be authorized, to transfer 140.69 in the 1920 St. , Imp. Fund.and,$39;03 in the-Serial Funding Bond Fund to the'General Fund and to transfer X2$3.11 in. the 1926 'rater Imp. .,,Fund to the 1938 Imp". Bills in the amount of $2,138.83 as audited by the auditing committee were then presented to Council and on motion duly made and on call vote carried were ordered paid and the Clerk was instructed to issue warrants in payment of same. Thereupon there being no further business to come before Council on motion duly made and carried Council adjourned to meet in regular session on Monday, May 22nd at the hour of 7:30 P.M. in the City Hall the usual meeting place.
