I", A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of-Elsinore was held on the abovee.date. The meeting was ual]ed to order at the hour of 7:30rR ;M, w-i h!Mayo S!', With in the Chair. Councilmen: C. A. Lovejoy, Roy i:.acy, Henry Perrot, J. E. Mills and N. Matich answered the roll call. Absent:_ None. Minutes of the last regular meeting Pei d, on. Mar. 27th were then 'read; by the Clerk and there :wing no corrections or omissions were approved as read. Thereupon the Water Clerks monthly report was presented to Council showing receipts, for the month of March to be as follows: Eater Collections 1x95.3$ License Collections 97.29; - Total Collected x099067: Fdhereupon it was duly moved and carried thatwsaid report be,accepted; and rordered placed on file. Thereupon the Treasurer's monthly report was presented to Council and it appearing that there was-soma %error in the statement covering balance in .h Mater fund it was `. moved by Councilman'Mills and seconded. by Councilman Ferret that approval of-same be held over to the nest meeting, which motion upon vote "as carried.,, Legislative Bulletins Nos. 6 and.7 issued by the Legislative Committee.ofithe League of Calif. I:Iunicipalities were then presented, to Council and after sane were read it was duly moved and carried that said Bulletins be received and filed, Thereupon the Clerk presented to Council a communication received from Assembly -'. ma.n Nelson S. Delworth which was in 'reply to a letter forwarded to hjm,by Councilman Lovejoy on behalf of the City ,Council expressing their protest to the passage of Assembly Bill j#9F,9 and in which he stated that said matter would receive his serious consideration. Thereupon report received from the gtate Division of Highti.ays was presented to Council in which they submitted a statement covering tn, x cent gas tax allocation! for Streets of Major Importance and for State Highways in Elsinore for the Biernum from July 1, 1939 to June 30th, 1941,, the amount allocated for each ,_being y2.t$0.00 and requested that Council submit to them Project. Statements and Agreements providing' for the'expenditures of these funds. Upon Councils due consideration of the ratter, it ras moved by Councilman Perret, and seconded by Councilman Lovejoy that said report and enclosed Project Statement and Agreement forms be turned over to Councilman Mills. Street Commissioner for his consideration, shvich.mo'tion upon vote was carried. Thereupon the Clerk reported to Council that the City Attorney has prepared an Agreement with attached copy of Resolution for Councils adoption, authorizing the execution of said agreement by the City Council of Elsinore with the County Board of Supervisors of Riverside County, providing for the City's purchase of certain Tax delinquent property in the City of Elsinore for the sum of 15.00. That ports pn of Wa-rm.Springs Park lying East of Block 5 and west of Temescal Ditch and South of the northerly line of Limited Ave extended and North of Lakeshore Drive. IV. 6TANDA0.D MINUTE RECORD of Supervisors of Riverside County and that the Mayor and City Clerk be author- ized to execute said agreement for and on behalf of said City Council. Thereupon it as moved by Councilman Lovejoy and seconded by Councilman-1- Perret that Resolution „'-`32& be j»s ed and adopted as read which notion as carried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen: Lovejoy, Itacy, Perret, Mills and IMatich. Noes: None. Absent: None. Thereupon a number of property owners in the district North of ?lint St. betir%een Main and Ellis St., appeared before Council and reported that they were interested in having sewer service installed in their district and agreed to furnish the necessary pipe and material providing that the Council can arrange to have the work done under 67. P. A. Project. Upon Councils due consideration of the proposal, it was moved by Councilman Mills and seconded by Councilman Macy that Councilman Lavejoy be directed to write to R. B. Fairchild, Promotion Engineer, W. P. A. and ascertain if said proposed work would be acceptable as a 11. P. 4. Project, which notion upon vote was carried. Thereupon Council took up for further consideration the matter of replac- ing the water 'line on North Spring St. and after due consideration of said matter it was moved by Councilman I�Aills and seconded by Councilman Perret that Councilman Macy, Water Commissioner be authorized to purchase and install approximately 600 ft. of 6 inch Transits pipe on Spring St. between Pottery St. and Sumner Ave., which; motion was ce.rried by the following vote: Ayes: Councilmen: Lovejoy, Lacy, Perret, Pills and Matich. Noes: None. Absent: done. Bills in the amount of $936.04 as audited by the auditing committee were thei presented to Council and on motion duly made and on call vote carried were ordered paid and the Clerk was instructed to issue warrants in payment of same. Thereupon there being no further business to come before Council on motion duly made and carried, Council adjourned to meet in regular session on Monday April 24th at the hour of 7:30 P.IS, in the City Hall the usual meeting place.
