The meeting was called to order at the hour of 7:30 P.M. with Mayor Platich in the chair. Councilmen. C. A.. Lovejoy, r2oy Pd�acy, J. E. ItIi- 11s,and .N Matich, answered. -the roll ca ii, . Absent: - Councilman: - PerLet. Minutes.:of the last regular meeting held on August 26th were then read by -the' Elerk :arid - therebeing no correcti:-ns or''omissior;s -, were "approved a� read. Thereupon the monthly report of the 'Hater & License Clerk for the month of August was presented to Council reporting collections for said month to be as follows: Water Collections 1,334.87 House Connections 00 Pumping out Rupard Spring 'Hater Deposit Payment on Yeter Dog License Collections Business License Collections TOTAL COLLECTIONS 75. 6.00 4.00 5.00 16.00 54.31 "whereupon it was duly moved and carried that said report be accept- ed and ordered placed on file. Thereupon the Treasurer's and Clerk's monthly reports for the month of August were presented to Council and on motion duly made and carried were accepted and ordered placed on file. Thereupon a communication from W. W. H. Beach was presented to Council in which he called to Council's attention that the City Insurance Policy, covering non - ownership cars will expire on September 12th and re- quested that he be granted a renewal of this policy. Whereupon it was moved by Councilmen Mills and seconded by Council - man Macy that said insurance policy be ordered renewed, which motion upon vote was carried. Thereupon Ordinance #239 was presented to Council on'second reading being an Ordinance of the City Council of the City of Elsinore,_ amending' Section 19 of Ordinance #161 respecting bowling alleys. Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Lovejoy and ,seconded by Council - man Mills that Ordinance #239 be passed and adopted as read, which motion was carried by the following vote: Ayes: - Councilmen: - Lovejoy, Macy, Mills and Matich Noes: None Absent* - Councilman: - Perret Thereupon Ordinance #240 was presented to Council on second read - ing ;" being an Ordinance of the City gou4cil of the City of Elsinore, amend- MINUTE RECORD OF REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL MEETZI r, HELD -o& THE 10th DAY OF September 1940 ing Section 1 of Ordinance }203 "respecting the fixing of water rates. Whereupon it was "moved.by. Baumgardner appeared before Council and reported, that 'he,', has been advised. by. the County Board o-f Supervisors that they would no consider the adop -ti on.of a County Ordinance, regulating the operation of motor, boats on Lake',Elsinore, until the:.City -of Elsinore lids passed and adopted, such an and he therefore requeste.0 of Council that,they.cooperate�:.with the property= owners and residents on Grand Avenue, by,adopting a City :Ordinance, regulating the operation of motor boat's on that portion „of:.the lake lying within the, City limits of Elsinore. Upon.CouneilsconsiderationoP the matter it was agreed that the - Mayor be.instructed' •to confer with Supervisor Stanfield and-the City Attorney relative to this matter before any definite action is taken. Bills in, of $35.8..67 as audited by, the auditing coiariittee were' -then presented.', to Council and on motion duly ,made and cirried;iwere ordered -paid and the.Clark was instructe.d,to issue warrants' ?n payment of same.. -_ Thereupon there being.no further,business to come before Council' -on motion duly made and carried Council adjourned to meet in regular session on Monday, September 23rd At the hour of 7:30 P.M. in the City hall.the,usual;meeting, place:.
