Tvlinutes of th"e' l ast "regular' meeting; held' on 'July gth-' were then
read by the Clerk and there being no corrections or omissions were approved
` as' read .
?Whereupon a communication from the Cxilmore ,Oil".Company was pre-
sented to'Council'in which they"advised"tYiat they are"planning to construct
a "service st'aticn at"the corner-oi b?an and Franklin streets ahd requested
that they' be granted' permission to' build two drivevrays` on Nlarr Street' and
one drivevaay on Franklin Street and to rerrdTe two'`tree"s that-are now"in'the
parkvvav- area.

Company be granted permission to remove the'-tvvo trees in the parkwaj`and
to construct:,driveways as requested but not to exceed a maximum vaidth of
__36 feet", said v^rork to be subject to the approval of the State Division '
of Highways, which motion upon vote was unanimously carried.
Thereupon a communication from City Attorney Best was presented
to Council in eahich he advised that with reference to Councils request
that he prepare an ordinance amending the zoning ordinance to provide
that Lots 19 to 22, Blocks 3 & 4 of Lakeshore Drive Addition be nut in
an R2-Zone, he finds that said Lots are now in Zone B-1 and in accordance
with the provisions of Secti^n 9 of the `Coning ordinance, said lots are"
now abailable for use as a trailer camp.
?"]hereupon it was duly moved and carried that said communication
be received and placed on file.
Thereupon a communication from E. e~, Sullivan, Distric Engineer,
State Division of Hip;hwwa~TS was presented t.o Councils, submitting for City
files a copy of the ,final report showing expenditures made by the State'
under 3~roject 3(A) of the P^?emorandum of Agreement providing for expenditure
of cne-quarter cent funds for Streets of FSlajor Importance in the City of
Elsinore.
?'Whereupon it vvas moved by Councilman-P ills and seconded by Council-
ma.n Lovejoy that said copy= of final report be accepted and ordered. placed
on file, which motion upon vote eras carried.
Thereupon a conmunication from City Attorney Best was presented
to Council in which he advised that the Complaint and Su_mrrons served on the
:!'ayor in the ease of Corlin vs City of Elsinore -- et, al. vvas turned over
to him to be acted upon and after his investigation of the matter it appears
that the City has no interest in the property mentioned in the complaint
to quiet title except delincuent city taxes and as the City will receive its
share from the tax sale which has been held on this property=, he filed a
wnalified Disclaimer of the Cit~r of Elsinore, submitting a copy of same ?for
City files.

of Disclaimer be received and. filed.

submitted by the`League of California pities vias presented -to Council,.
advising that the League is preparing a suggested. uniform ordinance,
defining; and prohibiting; trespassing upon or:loitern~ about certain
types of property important to t'rs national defense fro-gram anal urged
that Council defer taking any action on the n.2.tter until it is possible
o consider the suggested uniform' ordinance which ;gill be for~~aarded to
the City.
v?Thereupon it.was duly moved-and-.carried-that. said Bulletin
be received arrd placed- on.file.
Thereupon th,e Clerk presented to Council ,,.the County Auditors
Statement showing the assessed value of property within the City of
.Elsinore, for_the fiscal year 1940-1941;... after,sanle has been equalized

~~Vhereupon it was moved by Councilman T.,~ills and seconded'by
Councilman Tv;acy that the County Auditors sta-tement of assessed values
of property within the City of Elsinore, for the fiscal ,year 1940-1941
be accepted and ordered placed on file, which motion upon vote vaas
carried.
Thereupon the Clerk reported to Council that the Auditing
Committee and Councilman Lovejoy have received taro bids for auditing
the City Books and records, ~~~hich were on file and thereupon presented
to Council for consideration the following bids:--

Preston D. Orem ~ 150.00
tiVhereupon it vaas moved by Councilman Lovejoy and seconded by
ouncilman T.iills that the bid of Preston ll. Orem being the lowest bid,
e accented end that he be awarded the eontrant to audit the CitSr's books

Thereupon Councilman Ii.ills Street. Commissioner, reported to Council
that the following persons made, donations for`road oil,' which sums have,'been
deposited 'to the `Credit' of Cit~l FzndS'.

Conrad that their office of the State Division of''Fighu~ays has receid`ed
complaint protesting the practise of double parking on the ,business streets
of FTsinore''and requested' that Council taka''s'ome action on the matter..

-mamPJacy that'the Clerk be diree'~ed"to forward a 1`etter to l,'.r. 'Conrad,
advising him that the City Council 'nave taken action bg`directing th'e`police
department to enforce the lava against the practise of double parking on. the
streets of Elsinore,:wtich motion upon vote vvas carried.
Bills in'the amount of jc 2476.62 as-audited bq the auditing Committee
were then presented to`Council ahd on 'motion duly Nade`arid on call vote"carried
were ordered paid and the ylerk ,vas instructed to issue ovarrants in payment
of same.
Thereupon there being no further business, to come before Council
on motion duly made and'carried Council adjourned to meet in regular session
on P~4onday, August 12th at the hour of 7:30 P.NI. in the City Hall the usual
meeting place.
