A regular meeting of the City Council of the Git~p of-Elsinore
was held on he above dete. The meeting alas ea;lled tc order at the

and N. Iv~atich answered the roll call. Absent:-- None
P"'inutes of the last regular-meeting hehd on June 24th were
-then read by the Clerk and tihere.beingno corrections or omissions were
approved as 'read.
The--reupon,the ~V~ter and License Clerk's monthly report for th
nonth,of June' was presented to ~ounail, reporting collections for said

Thereupon .the 'Treasures and Clerk's monthl~r reports for the
month of June were presented to Council and on motion duly made and
carried were.a,ccepted and ordered placed on file..,
Thereupoh the Clerk presented to Council a communication from
Everett S. Brady and John Richards written en behalf of the members of
„the Latter Day Saints-Church of Elsinore, expre-s sing to Qouncil their
thanks,_and sincere aporeciation for favors extended to them during°the
', ; `construction:,of •the.ir church and i'or tY_ie oiling of Ellis Street in
front'of their ou.ilding.. ",

Thereupon the C1erY,presented:to Council an Automobile Insur-
ante Policy submitted .by ~;lC. T". H.,; Beach., bei'r~ a rene~,val of Puo;l:ic
Liability and Property Damage Insurance on the. CTarbage Truck of 'vrilliam
Tucker.

' Thereupon a corAr.~iunication from Saura A. Burnham,-Clerk of
the Elsinore Union high Schocl Board of;trr~±,~PS, wars presented to
Council advising that the Trustees of the Elsinore :Union High School
request that the City Council very earnestly considea a revisicn of the
schedule of water rates charged them for water service, said request
being supported by statements covering reasons for a justification of
reducing their water rates and b 3' the submission of a schedule of rates

being charged other Iiigh``Sch'ools in the County. '"`
The chair reported to Council that he has been informed by the
City Attorneq that the State Legislat~.ire at its last sessior. ;zassed a
law which recently went into effect, .vheh r';oge _s +, •^ on ~~=-ti cr of
municipa~ owned`vaater s~isterris and that a copy of-said lay~i as yet was_„

Printer for a copy of this bi_11. and as soon as received he.vaould make

!This being the'time"and place fixed fora public hearing Y~efore
Council, to cons'der protests to the 'request of 'the Townsend Association,
to amend the City Zoning Crdinance the chair asked if"anslone present"
wished to offer protest to the requested ,amendment of .the City= Zoning
Ordinance and no one ansyvered'. `
',hereupon it vvas moved by Councilman Ferret'and seconded by
', Councilman Ferret and seconded by Councilman Lovejo-T'tI?at the application
of the Towmsend Association_to._rezone their property and approved by
', the City Planning Commission be also approved by the City Council and
that the City Attorne~j be-directed to prepare the necessary amendment
to the Citq 'Coning Ordinance which motion was carried by the follovring
vote:..:

Matich that the auditxne; committee and the City I3aI1 Commissioner be authorized
to er.~age a certified puY~lxc accountant to make an audit 'of the'Cxty?,s books
and records which motion upon vote was unanircous hr carried. '"

control of weeds on the city lots was presented to Counc'i'l for consideration

I man Ferret that -said conzi'of'-0rdinance be re'ferred'to thie Grdinance Committee
j for theis'con'sideration which U.otioix'upon was carried.
Thereupon Resolution i"347 was introduced and read veing a Resolution
of 'the' City Council resolving that $he TvIayor and City Clerk" be authorized to
enter into an agreement for and on behalf 'and in the name of the L'ity Council
of the City of Elsinore., with the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Riverside,'-State of `Ca°liforna for the purchase of certain property located
in the City of Elsinore, under and persuant to the'. provisions of Section
3g97D'of the Political Code of California 'a copy of Which;agx•eement is attached
thereto. '
