The meeting ivas called to order at the hour or '7:30 P,M, with l~;iayor Tviatich in the chair. - Councilmen:-- 'C: A. Thereupon the`Treasurer's`and Clerk's monthlyreports vrere presented to Council which on motion duly made-and carried were accepted and ordered placed on file. <. Thereupon the ~"dater'and License Clerks monthly r,eport.of.collections for the month of April was presented'to Council'submittih~ a statement of collections as follows: - ~Nater Collections ,954.7 -~ House Corihectioiis 25,00 '~Tater Deposit 4':00 _:. ~ .; License Collections 363.80 _. - _ _ . Total Collected ;1347,64 '"' ?^Rzereupon it was dull' moved and carried that the report of the' ?Hater and License Clerk be accepted and ordered placed on file. Thereupon a Re-zoning Petition signed by John Richards and Herbert Hales, on behalf of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, was' presented to Council, said petition requesting that Council re-zone Lots 3 and !~ of Block 512 of Smith's Addition to Elsinore now located in a R-3 Zone 13y placing said lots in a "C" Zone, Vilhereupon it was moved by Councilman Perret and seconded by Council- man 1•."acy that it be ordered that a meeting of the City Council setting as the City Plannin~_Gommission be held on Ta"onday, May 20th at the hour of 7:30 P.M. ahd that a notice be published fixing said time and date for a hearing on said petition, which motion upon vote was unanimously carried. Thereupon-the Clerk presented to Council a petition signed by thirty- - five property owners living in the vicinity of the intersention of Chestnut St, and Heald Avenue requesting that Council do not allow any church or place of worship either permanent or temporary to be held or constructed on the Southeast corner of Heald Avenue and Chestnut Street', ?hThereupon it was moved by Councilman Pi;ils and seconded by Councilman Lovejoy that said petition be received and ordered filed for future consideration which motion upon vote was carried. Thereupon a communication from E. H. Shaul, Building Inspector Xmas presented to Council in ~~rhich he reported to Council that Pairs. Ilya L. Vhereupon it was moved by Councilman Perret and seconded by ,Councilman Lovejoy that the City Clerk be authorized and directed to file the required claim for the City's pro-rate share of proceeds from the sale of tax delinauent property, which motion upon vote was carried. Thereupon the Clerk presented to Council a petition filed by members of the local St. Pauls` Church of Christ, requesting that they be permitted to erect a tent on treir property to be used for church meetings. Whereupon it was duly moved and carried that said petition be received for further consideration, after a check of the Cit's Ordinance. Thereupon the Clerk presented to Council a list of the active members of the Elsinore Pire Department, submitted by Fire Chief James 0. Cox, for Councils approval. tiahereupon it `^aas moved by Councilman Mills and seconded b~j Councilman Lovejoy that the following roster of active members of the Elsinore Fire Department as submitted for approval by Fire Chief, James 0.
