A..:- '- : A regular meeting of the,Cit~T Council of the City of Elsinore was held on the a}~oye u'a.te'. S!'atich, answered the roll .call.- Absent:. - 1\TOne Minutes of the last regular meeting held on February 26th were then read by the clerk and tY:ere brim no corrections or ommission were approved: as read. .". Thereupor.,the ~1erk'~ and Treasurer's"monthly reports wwere presented to ",ounci_i and on motion duly made and carried ~+iere accepted and ordered placed on file. T:'lYrereupon the Water and License Clerks' monthljr report ~?as presented to Council submitting a statement of collections for the month of February as follows: VTater Collections mg~q,g6 Payment on S,reter 5.00 Water Deposits 11.50 Dog License 1,50 City Licenses 43 75 X945" 1 L~- Total Collections whereupon it was duly moved and carried that said report be accepted and ordered placed on file. Thereupon the Clerk reported to Council that he was in receipt of checks from the County Auditors office covering an apportion- ment of receipts from the sales of certain tax delinquent properties ' in the City of Elsinore, in amounts as follows: Cxeneral Taxes: X1009.28 1920 Street Improvement: 1.55 1926 VJa.ter Improvement: 731.09 !'thereupon it tF~as moved by Councilman Perret and seconded by Councilman_PJfacg that said checks be received and deposited to the credit of the prover funds, which motion upon vote was unanimously carried. Thereupon the Clerk presented to Council a communication signed by a number of property owners residing on N. P~?ain and E11is Streets requesting that Council give serious consideration the matter of installation of sewer service in this district and that action on ~~ said matter be taken without delay. Upon Councils due consideration of the matter and a. duscussion on the project vrith ~ number of the petitioners who were present, it was agreed b,~I Council that the matter be referred to Councilman Lovejoy ~^rith instructions that he c},eck ovith the State Relief Administration to ascertain if such a project could be sponsored by the City through ' their organization, and that he report on the matter to Council at the earliest time possible REGULF~ P'`EETIT_'>,OF TTTE CITY-CCUPdCIL ~;;~~•,a~,.:_ ;~4arch ].lth, 1940 Council Ferret=-Park Commissioner then reported.to'Council' that it is his desire to plant ornamental shade trees in the park-way infront=of the Citv_Park "arid requested that"`Council inform him as to tkieir`viev/s"`'ori th"e 'matter: - Whereupon it 1~;as moved by Councilman T"acy and seconded by Councilman ;Lovejoy that' the-Park C;ormissione'r be authorized'to purchase the number of trees requisled for planting'in the parkway=in front of the City Park,;which motion ~zpon vote was unanimously carried.
