Thereupon the-Clerk presented to Council reports submitted by the State
ivision of Highvaays showing the January 1940 quarterly payment of the one-euarter
cent gas tax collected for expenditures upon streets of major importance and a co AY

the final report of expenditures made by the State under project 2 ofthe 14iemo-
ndum of Agreement for expenditures of one-quarter cunt funds for streets of major
icaportancewhich accrued to the City of Elsinore during the fiscal year ending June
30, 1938.
whereupon it was moved by Councilman Pvfiils and seconded by Councilman Love-

The Clerk then presented to Council the written applications of the follow
ng named zersons requesting appointment to serve as officers on the Election Board ~

whereupon it was agreed by Council that a ballot be taken and the six
pplicanta receiving the highest votes be appointed to serve on the election board
