Thereupon the C1exk presented to Council notices received from i,
the State Board of'Equalization>relati~ge to ahe-applicaton of Carl
~4reden, Minnie 517reden-•-Popovich -and ~lreden Hot' Springs Hotel for
alcaholic'Beverage Licenses to with Qn Sale-,B,eer: and Thine and On
Sale Distilled Spirits, for location 9n ~>pring Street between ,Heald
Av. and r'ountain St., said licenses to be transferred from Ben I
Doss, location ~ds,gnolia Av. near' Byron- St. , Riversid~y,~~lalley Home

Upon,Cquncil's consideration of the matter, it was moved by
Councilman ~ovejc,~'and seconded=by Cauncilman,Perret that a -regular
form of proti'est be Filed with "the State: Board: of ~qualizat.on
objecting to ahe, i'ssuance'of the<transfer of ;said,hcense~;tb
~Treden Hote1,~~,which'~motion~~was carried by the; follo~ing~ vote , _, ~ ,

Thereupon Ordinance°248 was presented to Counoil on_~first
reading, being an Ordinance of the City~of Elsinore, relata.ng. ,
to Aix Raid precautions. ~ ~j
4Yhereupon it was moved by Councilman R4ills and seconded by
Councilman hovejoy'that Ordinance ;'246 be passed to its second
reading, which rnotien was carried by the following vote:

by various eoinmanding- officers. of :the,U.,.;;~:~Axmed forces, and; heads "

at night around street excavations, otherwise they would be in de-

organizing a City Defense Council and upon due .consideration;of
said matter it was agreed 'that Gouncilrnan,Maey;be instructed to ,,; ~-

deemed advisable have him prepare the required ~rdiri5:nce'for pre's-`'

Bills in the amount of ~7;5~39.,79;_ as audited .by the, auditing
Committee were then presented to Council, which on motion duly --
made and carried were ordered paid and the Clerk was instructed to _..
issue ~varrants in payment of same. '

Cazncil, on motion duly made and carried Council adjourned to meet'"
