Thereupon the Clerk presented sto Caunci~l a bond'-ih the amount
of X1,000.60 issued by the P.ietropolitan Casualty Insurance Co, of New

received and it was agreed by Council that same be accepted and ordered

Thereupon Council took upYfor further consideration .the rmatter of
completing the oiling of Lakeshore Drive.

Councilman Piacy that the Street Comciissioner be authorized:.to:<have an
engineer make a survey of proposed Lakeshore Drive and arrange for securing

'man Lovejoy that it be authorized to publish a TJotice Inviting Bids for
approximately 140 "tons of SC-2 Road Oil-to be_del;vered :abaut'July let, 1941
and the price quoted to be for :oil delivered and spread-asrcalled 'for,. bids

Thereupon he Clerk presented to Council a petition signed by-

to Council that they do express their opposition to the passage oP proposed

of ;J. P. Plelson and 'ddm. Brown owners of the Elsinore Recreation center
'and pre ented for, Councils, consideration ther_,postion as-°the operators '
of a bowling alley in. Elsinore and the effect the :provisions of ;proposed
Ordinance X243 will have on the success of their business and requested
that Council give consideraticn to amending: said pr~pos.ed ordinance to
provide for a 2:00 O'clock A. P;?. closing hour amd for the admission of
.minors.

Thereupon Ordinance X242 was presented onrsecond reading being
an Ordinance `of "trie City of Elsinore amending Section D-L of Ordinance

Councilman Lovejoy that Ordinance j~242 be passed and adopted as read,
which rsotion vras carried by the following vote:
Ayes:. Councilmen: Lovejoy, Ps"acy, Perret, Pllills and I:iatich
Noes: None
Absent: Norte
Thereupon Grdinance X243 was presented to Council on first
reading, being an Ordinance of the City of Elsinore, amending Section
19 oP Ordinance X161 repealing Ordinance #239 and regulating bowling
alleys.
'Thereupon it-was moved by Councilman Lovejoy and secondedby
Councilman Perret that Ordinance #243 be passed to its second reading,
which motion was carried by the .f ollowing vote:
Ayes: Councilmen: Lovejoy, Maey, Perret, P~?ills and Natick
Noes: Pdone
Absent: None
Thereupon the chair presented for Councils consideration
proposed plans and estimate oP cost for installation of a lighting
system at the City Fall Park.
t"lYrereupon it vras moved by Councilman Lovejoy and seconded
by Councilman T4~acy that it be authorized to install a Lighting system
at the City F3a11 Park at a cost not be exceed the amount of 516.50
and that the Baseball Committee be authorized to have the vaork done,
which motion upon vote was unanimously carried..

auditing committee were then presented to Council and on motion duly
made and carried were ordered paid and the Clerk was instructed to
issue warrants in payment of Sarre.
Thereupon there being no further business to come before
Council on motion duly made and carried Council adjourned to meet in
regular session on Monday, June qth at the hour of 7:30 P.M. in the
City Hall the usual meeting place.
