Whereupon the Plotion was defeated.
Report by Guater Superintendent Johnson about the present
Fire hazard of tiveeds on vacant lots in the City. A motion was duly
made and carried that the Fire Commissioner Pr. Soy P~"acy contact
Fire Chief James Cox, and the fire Department about cleaning off lots.
Mr. Frishman was asked to put a notice in the paper requesting all
property owners to clear lots.
Thereupon a telegram to=as read which was addressed U~ Mayor
P•7atich from Dr. Giannini et all-extending invitations to the Council
to attend a P:iay 1st luncheon in Los Angeles.
Ordered filed J. E. Mills report. A complaint as to condi-
tions existing at"Townsend Hall Public dances on Sdturday T_dights M;r.
PtIills report several articles stolen frori parked cars. in the vicinity
of Dance Hall.
Vhereupon notion duly made and carried to refer to City
Police Department for investigation and correction if possible more
police protection in that area.
Bills in the amount of 2 420.74 as aizd~ted by tie arzditing
committee were then presented and motion by J. E. b7ills seconded tay
Roy IvIacy that bills be allowed and the clerk instructed to issue warrant
in payment of sane.
~rhereupon there being no further business to come before-the
Council on motion duly made and carried Council adjourned to meet in
regular session on Llonday P!Iay 12th, at the hour of 7:30 P.P,I. in the
City PIall the usual meeting place.
