Thereupon the Clerk presented to Council the written, application for a X10:00 per mont2a ~zncrease in salary, signed bSr-`-the fohoiving City employees: ~ A: G. Turd,, with reference to the TIeon'^sign 's'he installed' on P7os $,Fan Street andv which the Council ordered he to remove, stating to Council that in accordance with his interpretation o#~the City 0`rdnance-that said sign is installed to conform to the provisions of the amity Ordinance and'therefore'should `riot have been nrdered.remo~ed. DAY OF April Is~.l Thereupon a communication from Jonah Jonas was presented to Council in which he protested to the use of unmuffeled motor boats on Lake Elsinore and urged that Council take action to provide that motors be muffled. ~fdhereupon it was duly moved and carried that said letter be received and filed. Thereupon the chair reported to Council that Supervisor Stanfield has discussed with him the possibility of working out a progr whereby the County may consider taking over Lake Elsinore for the purpo of creating and maintaining it as a County Park. Upon Councils discussion and:_due considere.tior. of the matter it vvas moved b?r Councilman Perret and seconded by Councilman T~~ills that the chair appoint a conunittee to contact the Board of Supervisors to ascertain just what action they will require Council to take in the matter which motion upon cote was carried. Thereupon Councilman P.?ills reported tc`Couneil that he has received from the State Highway Department their approved : copy of n,ernorandum of Agreement covering Street Improvement Project /rG.B and submitted same to council for their-approval. Thereupon it was moved by Councilman P~lills and seconded by Councilman Perret that tree Plans and Specifications for Project #4B be approved, and Piled with the Street Commissioner, ovhich motion upon vote was unanimously carried. Thereupon it was moved by Councilman T4acy and seconded by Councilman Perret that the City Clerk be directed to write to Senator Phillips and AssemErlyman Dillovorth and express to them on belalf oP Council their protest to the passage of bill relative to the disposal of sewage, which motion upon vote was carried. Bills in the amount of 781.0£3 as audited by the auditing Committee were then presented to Council and oh motion duly made and carried were ordered paid and the Clerk was instructed to issue warrants in patrrnent of same. Thereupon there being no further business to come before Council on motion ~~aly made and carried Council adjourned to meet in regular sessio n on P~;onday April 28th at the hour of 7:30 P.h7. in the City Hall the usual meeting place.
