same to be replanted with Australian Elm trees.

Thereupon a communication from Nellie Ca Burke, was, presented,

and Sumner Streets and requested gf Council that same: be ordered removed

Couneilvian~h7lis and:- seconded. by Councilman. P~4acy. that it be- referred t.o
the Ordinance Committee for:-ehe:e2ting w h the Gity Attorney as'to his
interpretation of the provisions of the City Ordinance regulating the
installaition~of signs in 'Elsinore„ whieh`motion upon,:vote..was carried.

Imperisl Highway Association held"at the Palomar Hotel, Elsinore on
January 25th, 1941.

period October 1st, 1940 to December 31, 1940.-" -

Thereupon the Clerk presented to Council a communication
from'-R: T.-Hicks County Auditor reporting -tYe sane of eer-taro tax
delinauer~t property-located in'the City"of Elsinore and 'advising-' '~
that claim for the City's pro-rate share of the proceeds from the '
sale of said property must be-filed with tr.'e Coizity Auditor on or
before April 7th, 1941.- -
Whereupon it was moved by Councilman P?ills and seconded
by Councilman Lovejoy that the Clerk `be directed 'to file the
required claim for and on~behalf oP the City, 'which motion upon
vote was carried. -
~'7hereupon Resolution-356 was introduced and read beirng
a. resolution of the City Council providing for the acceptance of

Whereupon it was-mowed bg'-C'ouncilman Perret and-"seconded

i Thereupon Councilma-n Lovejoy reported to Council the collectio
from S. Ni. Rice of the sum of y~10.00 contributed toward the expense
of installation of the Al. N?ain Street Sewer. -
?'dhereupon it was moved by Councilman Mills and seeoaded by
Councilman Macy that said check for ~510.00~1be accepted and deposited
to the credit of the general fund, which motion upon vote was carried.
Thereupon Council took up Por further consideration the bids
received for furnishing gasoline to the City of Elsinore for a term of
one ,year.
T~ ereupon it was moved by Councilman Mills-and seconded by
I Councilman N-racy that the bid of the Shell Oil Company be accepted and
~ that i~ ;lze authorized to enterc~into a contract-with said Company. to
furnish gasoline to the City on the basis of prices quoted.for a term
of one year from NRarch 1st, 1941, which motion upon vote was unanimously
carried.
Bills in the amount of :~ 962.68 as audited by the auditing
committee were then presented to Council and on motion duly made and
carried were ordered paid and the Clerk instructed to issue warrants in
" payment of same.
Thereupon there being no further business to come before
Council on notion duly made and carried Council adjourned to meet in
regular session on Noonday February 24th, at the hour of 7:30 P. M1. in
j tYie City Hall the usual meeting place.
