A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Elsinore
was held on the above date. The meeting was ;called.;ao:Order at the
hour of 7:30 P.M. with Mayor N.Svlatich in the Chair.

A letter from Fairbanks Morse, read stating Sewer pumps had been
serviced byfthem. A bill of ~9:!~6 presented and they also:ask that
balance-of contraetlpayment of .~p100.00 be allowed..[-Thereupon a motion
by John fl4ills, seconded by;C:A.Lovejoy":chat the Bill be ?paid for Sewer
pump.. repair and the .`~p100.00 Balance due them be allowed. P4otion carried
Thereupon a letter Prom Eugene Best, City Attorney, was;:read,
stating that a hearing will be held on December 16,1942 at 2:O'clock
P.M.'in Room-:803 California 'State Build"ing Los Angeles in regard to
application of Temescal `Mater co Mr. Best;atateda small expense
for court reporter and some other expenses might come up and asks
Council~authorize auch expenditures. 4`Jhereupon a-'motion by Henry:Perret
`seconded by ::CA.Lovejoy,r that NTr. Best be instructed to.attend:xneeting:,:
-and ,all siecessary .expens:es be allowed. Motion carried. r
Thereupon a letter from N,r. 1`J.TfJ.H.Beaeh enclosing cheek in the
amount of ~189.31~to covers:fire 1oss.n_City-Hall Oct. 6th, 1942,
asking-that •release_.be signed and returned to him. Thereupon,it:was
moved by Tohn Mills, seconded by Henry Perret that City accept check
in payment for loss and release be signed and mailed to Mr. Beach.
Motion carried.
Thereupon a letter from Mr. Grayson of the Riverside 'Water Dept.
was readtenclosng'application form for membership in a S~Tater y~Jorks
Association ,,A_:motion by C.A..Lovejoy seconded by Leslie Merrifield
that letter and ,form be filed forefuture~action. Motion carried.
Mr. C.G.Dahlgren, of Riverside appeared before Council and re-
ported on violations of the Dim-Gut Ordinance in City of Elsinore.
Nis. Dahlgren stated all transoms must be shielded. Awnings do not
serve as a shield. All lights should be shielded and shine do*ron onlya
S!Ir. Harry Gantz then accompanied rugs. Dahlgren on a tour of the City
~® receive instructions in enforcement of ordinance.
