The meeting v7as called to order by,I!Qayor:.N.T~latch and a motion
made to dispense with the reading of the minutes of the last meeting,
City G1erk C.,J.Kalina being absent..-Lena Callison,:-.actng.Gity Clerk,
read the =follovaing ,communications:
-letter froiu,tne Fire Companiefs Adjustment Bureau Inc.,
Riverside Branch, asking for Directors,Authorization and proof
of loss.,to be executed and returned..to them,,.givingthe oity the -

A motion made by He~iry perret, seconded by C.A.Lovejoy that the
City Clerk execute the proof of loss and mail together with Directors
Authorization-that the City accept„the adjustment-on fire-loss, T~Iotion
carried,. ~ ~..... - -
A communication from Rebecca Bracamonte, requesting a
permit ;to have a ~7edding,party;and dance;on Nov. 15, 1942, at the
Toymsehd Ha11. A motion by John Nills, seconded by C;.A.Lovejoy
that the; application be denied and the-City Clerk-be,instructed -
to write,a letter to ;that ef,fect,, Motion carried,
A'report"that a verbal complaint; had -come in ,about-the_
dance at the Recreation Center on the night of Nov. 5th, 1942,
~ ehargingno Officer on duty, dancing after Midnight,: and Minors
on the ;floor. A report made by Ernest Johnson,;,that.in connection
iraith same, Nr. Harmon, Chief of Police, had made an investigation
and noedancin`-hall had been. posted,that.no Minors were allowed

Johnson.. ,.Henry Boontjer being-.the only~new member,,~added.;IvIotion by ;,

and that the Gity;Clerk notify the Board of Fire Undervariters.
City Treasurers report read and motion by John Pllills, seconded by
Henry Perret that Treasurers report be accepted and filed.. ri+fotion
carried.

Motion by John Idills, seconded by C.A.Lovejoy that report be

The Townsend Club asks that the private OPPicer hired'by Adella
Davis be sufficient police protection at the Saturday night dances, as
they eannot'afford`a special officer for the evening. This was: ref erred'
to the Ordinance Committee and suggested by.~,:iayor Matich.that the Dance
Ordinance of Corona'~be investigated and the 'Committee see how-other
nei hborin Cities handle this problem of Public,Danee Policing.

The question of hiring a Re1ieP"man~for-the Police and 'rVater Dept.
discussed and a notion by John imills and seconded by Henry Perret that
one extra Police man be appointed for relief duty at•the'salary'''of
X50,00 per month by a resolution to be passed at the next regular meet- ''
ng of Council. It2otion°carried.
A-complaint about the compliance of City', Street lights to the Dim
Out Ordinance discussed. John Mi11s made a°motion``that the City Clerk`
write to thee-California'Electric Power`Co: informing them that since the
bracket lights are'the property'`oP the`E1ec.Cor and c4ntrolled'tiy them ''.

and City Ordinance, ~ in regard to dim-out regulations: Seconded by

Ernest Johnson is asked by''Council to'-see frank Rodrigues about
!. taking garbage Contract for City and report back.
'IViayor Niatich instructed City Clerk to varite a letter' to the°
CaliYornia~State Guard Co' B, Elsinore, and 'express the°appreciaton
of the"Council and'-the Elsinore Police'Porce, Por their help on"Hallow-
een night. Motion by Henry Perret, seconded by CA.Lovejoy, that bills
be allowed and paid: b4oton carried. - -
NPIlatich asks `that ~*ity Clerk 'write a letter to Temescal ti~later Co, ,
to repair Street 'and sidewalk on'ther property on Sumner Street,-Elsinore.
'J~Iater Clerk instructed to pa3* Vincent Tidewell 'for three days
labor on Garbage truck;'79,00 to`be paid out of the Petty cash fund.
