Thereupon the monthly report of the Chief of Police was presented to Council reporting 14 arrests made and cases filed-in-the..City.Court during the month of August. ~a~lhereupon it was duly moved and carried that said report be accepted and ordered placed on file, Thereupon the City Treasurers and Clerk's monthly reports were presented to Council, which on motion duly .made and carried were accepted and ordered placed on file, , This being the time and place fixed for the opening of sealed bids received for furnishing the City with 100 tons more or less of road oil, the Clerk reported that tvao bids were received and proceeded toopen the following bids. Union Cil Company, bid to furnish, deliver and spread SC-2 Road Oil at 41y~10.50 per ton and SC-3 or 4 Road Oil at ;;11.00 per ton," these prices being quoted as todays prices and were not guaranteed as the maximum prices to be charges, -;organ Bros., bid to furnish,. deliver and spread SC-2 Road Oil at X10.50 pP?' ton and SC-3 or 4 Road Oil at X100.00 per ton, these pride quotations being guaranteed for a period ninety days only. Thereupon it vaas moved by Councilman Tills and seconded by Councilman Lovejoy that said bids received be taken under advisement, which motion upon vote was carried. I. Thereupon a communication from ~`T. I'd. H. Beach, vacs presented to Council, advising that the CityTS Non-ownership Automobile policy ~', expired on September 12th and submitted therewith a renewal of said j! policy for Councils consideration. ' ti+/hereupon it was moved by Councilman 'Lovejoy .and seconded by Councilman P!?ills that the renewal policy submitted be accepted, which motion upon vote was carried. Thereupon a tabulation submitted by the State Division of ' I~iHighways, showing the duly 19/2 cAuarterly payment of the 1/!~ cent ,,gas tax allocated for expenditure upon streets of major importance, ', was presented to Council, the report showing the amount of X309.48 ilk REGULAR N,E'ETING OF THE C.ITv COUNCIL ° September ll~th,. 19,42 - due-the City of Elsinore. „ ,; , ;'Tereupon it vras moved by Councilman Lovejoy and seconded by Councilman L?ills-that said report be received and filed,: which motion upon vote vacs; carried. - Thereupon the Clerk presented to Council the Annual, report of the State Division of Highways covering expenditures made by the state, for.,-..general maintance of State Highway Routes ~'7 and 7g within .the ,City of,~lsinore. .e ereup ,. , "'h on it was duly moved and carried that said~~report be- received and filed. • Thereupon, it eras called to Counc-i-1s attention that since the lights at. the Ba11,P.ark,cari no,.longerrbe used due ;to Blackout;regul~tons, that it is advisable to .discontinue the transformer service. ~,ti'~ ereupon it was moved- by Counclman,i"ills and:; seconded by Councilman :Lovejoy that .notice; be given -to ,the Power.Coxnpany ta.-discontinue the Transformer service at the City Ba11 Park, which moti:an upon vote. was carried.
