_. A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of-.Elsinore
was held on-thee above date, The meeting was called to-order at the hour of 7:30 .

Councilmen: 'C. A.. Lovejoy, Roy N,acy, Henry Ferret, J'. E. Pfills,
and N..Il!atich answered the roll-call. -

t^inutes of the last regular meeting of Council held on 1P;af~ch
23rd were then read by the Clerk and there being no corrections or omissions,
were approved as read.
Thereupon the `mater and License Clerks montfil~ report was
presented to Council, submitting a statement of collections for the month

submitted by Dr. Marren Fox, County'Health°-0fficer covering a"statement of
health services rendered to the City of Hlsinore during the month of P~iareh,
',Vhereupon it vras"moved by Councilman PrIills and seconded by
'? Councilman P°acy that the report submitted by Dr.-Fox be accepted and
ordered placed on file, vrhich motion upon vote was .carried.
Thereupon a commmunication from the Fairbanks- n~orse,& Co waa
presented to Council, reporting:that,'they have ;shipped the two vertical
sewagepumps: together ;with shafting: andsmot-ors to,'the City of,rEls.nore ''
via Associated Carriers, ;prepad.,;on;h?arch 27th,;: and that proper parties;,
were notified so that in~tallaton:can be: made, wthout:"delay. ;They
requested, now that shi went of pumps has been made, that their certified
check,,n;ahe,,amount of 20.0.00-deposited with their bid be-returned.
Thereupon it was moved b;~ Councilman Ferret.and seconded by
Councilman F;acy that the Clerk be authorized to~return to the,farbanks
Morse Co., their check in the amount oP ;200,00 deposited with their bid,
which motion upon vote wes carried,
Thereupon Resolution ¢x373 was introduced and read being a
Resolution of the City Council ordering the work of closing up end
vacating that portion of Limited Avenue lying"between Poz';::Street".and`""

?'hereupon Resolution ;7374 was introduced and read being a
Resolution urging conservation of Automotive equpment and approving
a--five•',paint~program:of automobile and tire conservation.
VJYiereupon it was moved by Councilman Lovejoy and seconded
by Councilman Perret that Resolution ;3'74 be passed--and adopted as
read, which notion was carried by the following vote;.
AYES: Councilmen: Lovejoy, bacy, Perret, I~4ills and P,<iatich.

Thereupon the Clerk presented to Council notice received from
the State Board of Equalization of their decesion on petition for
,reconsideration of the application by Carl ?. VJreden, et al for transfer
~f On Sale, Beer, Vdine and distilled spirits licenses and advised that
at its hearing on said petition held on larch 24th the Board have order-
ed that their order of February g, 1842 be set aside and that said
licenses be issued.
ti'~hereupon it was duly moved and carried that said notice
from the State Board of Equalization be received and placed on file.
Thereupon the Clerk presented to Council a communication from
the League of .California Cities, submitting a copy of the Office of
Civilian Defense regulations Poverning the issuance oP protective
equipment, 'and enclosing-therewith a copy of'suggested resolution,
providing for the appointment of a local property officer, pursuant
to the regulations of the office of Civilian Defense.
Vhereupon it was duly moved and carried that this matter be
laid over for future consideration.
Thereupon a communication from Lillie A. Ha11 was presented
to Council in which she submitted a list of names of persons recommended
to Council for appointment to serve on the local recreation committee.
"]hereupon it was moved by Councilman P:Tills and seconded"by
Councilman Loveloy that the following named persons be appointed to
serve. on Elsinore Recreatioh Committee.
Thereupon a communication from the
