DRY OF D2Cember: _ 19 43 A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Elsinore was held on the above date, Ty,e meeting vras called to order at the hour. of '7:30 P:SvI, with Ccuncilman C.A. Lovejoy in the chair. Councilmen: C.A. Lovejoy, Leslie r0aerrifield, Henry Perrot and J.E,~=ills answered the roll call. Absent:P4ayor hiatich Thereupon it eas duly moved and carried that Councilrr_an Lovejoy be appointed to fill the ci~air as "_:`ayor Pro-tern. The clerk then read the minutes of the fast four meetings held by Council, being regular meetings held on P,ov.Bth and Nov.22nd and regular adjourned meetings held on Nov,23rd end 2dov. 29th and there being no corrections or omissions were approved as read. Thereupon the ila er & License Clerks monthly report was presented to Council, subn_itting a statement of collections for the month of November as follow°as: License Collections 24.10 o'later Collections 1268.89 Dog License 2,00 Police Lines 21.00 Building Permits 3.00 Telephone booth rental 3.31 Special Dance Police ~~ees 20.00 Sale of Sevver Pipe 25.00 Total n~ollections ~1563.30~ ?'Pzereupon it was duly moved and carried that the report of the v~;ater and License Clerk be accepted and ordered placed on file. ^lhereupon the Treasurerts and Clerk's monthly reports were pre- sented to Council, vahich on motion duly made and carried were accepted and ordered placed on file. Vrhereupon the Clerk ~JresentPd to Council a co:rr;:unication from Horner Cuckley, state Director of Civilian Protection, urging that City authorities and. defense Councils continue to maintain Auxiliary Police, Fire, and emergency ^edical services at maximum strength throughout the State for the duration of the tvar. "Ihereupori it ~:as moved by Councilman ?Fills and seconded by Councilman i~?errifield. that said corv~nunication be received and ordered placed on file which motion ~.zpon vote ~^ra.s carried. T'r~ereupon Councilma.-^: ~'~-errifiei.d sire Cor.~rrissioner reported to Council trial the State Forestry Dept, have informed him that they nave available a Fire Truck vnc~h they are vailling to place with the City Fare Dent. for use by there during the 'v,=inter season -in Elsinore and vicinity providing that the City authorizes and agrees to receive same and issue a receipt for said truck to the Ctate Dept. and f`izrther ;3~CrL?LAR i;""~~TING OF CITY COtTTCIL agree to care for and man said truck, Dsc.l3, 194,3 "whereupon it was r~ove$ by"Councilman I!-tills and seconded by Council- man Perret that it be authorized to receive a Fare Truck from the State Horestry Dept, to be placed in the care of the City Fire Dept. and that Councilman P,~Terrifield Fire Cornr;issioner be authorized to issue a receipt for and on behalf oz the city of Elsinore, to the State Forestry Dept, for said Hire-'truck, :which motion upon vote irras unanimously carried. Bills in the a-;count of r1032,b9 as audited by the Auditing Committee were then presented to Council and on motion duly made and carried were ordered paid and the Clerk was instructed to issue "Iarrants in payment of same. `t'hereupon there being no further business to come before Councils: on motion duly made and carried Council adjourned to meetiin re- gular session on h?onday Dec. 2~th at the hour of '7:30 P.iv. in the City IIall the"usual meeting place. .. ~~ !, y rk Mayor
