The meeting was'.called to order at `the , hour of_7~30 P.Pd. with I4layor Match in-`the Chair, Councilmen: C,A, Lovejoy, Leslie P<Ierrifield, Henry Perret, J,E,I~iL and N, i,?atieh answeret the roll call.. Absent:' None •: P•,'inutes of the last meeting of Council held° `on June 28th were then read by the Clerk and there being no corrections or omissions .were approved as read. Thereupon a representative of the Riverside i'nterprise appeared before Council.,, and. reported..that_within a few weeks they will publish a Riverside~Countp 50th year Anniversary Edition, which is being sponsored by the Board .of Supervisors of Riverside County and supported by the Councils of the various cities of the County by purch~a ing page and one-half page adds in the proposed edition, these adds, to cover local community publicity the cosh to be 89.60 per page and X44.50 per one-half page, and solicited ~ounei.ls-support by placing their order for an add in this edition. r+}hereupon it was moved by Councilman Iwerrifield and seconded by Co min Perr~et that the Chair appoint a committee to make a survey oP the business concerns of the City to ascertain what amount if any they ~rlish to contribute to a fund for placing an Elsinore ad in the Riverside Ccunty 50th year Anniversary edition to be published by the Riverside Enterprise, which motion upon vote was carried. The chair appcinted Anna r:~, Horton and Guy Bremer to serve on this committee. Thereupon the 4r'ater and License Clerks monthly report was presented Ito Council and upon report to Council by> the City Clerk that it appears ~~ that one deposit made in the month has been overlooked. It was moved by Councilman 1~fiills and seconded by Councilman Lovejoy ~I~that said report be returned to the ~"later Clerk for correction which motion upon vote vlas car ied. Thereupon the TreasurerTs and Clerks monthl~j reports and the Clerks il~annual statement of funds were presented to Council, which on motion I'uly made and carried T,+rere accepted and ordered placed on file. Thereupon the Clerk presented to Council copy of Resolution adopted ll~by the County Board of Supervisors, providing authorization for the (sale of certain tax deliquent lands. I', V~'hereupon it was moved by Councilman Lovejoy and seconded by Couneil~ ~~nnan Mills that said resolution be received and ordered placed on file, t`7hic~ motion upon vote <<ras carried. ~,~, Thereupon Council took up for Consideration the matter of purchasing a motor horn which was submitted for trial and inspection. 1• RDGULAR r~TIN~ CI' THH CITY CCUDtCIL JULY 12th, 1943 hereupon it was m6ved by ..Councilman ferret and seconded ;by Councl- man !?ills that the`Police Dent, be authorized to purchase said motor horn to be used as a curfer^~ signal which motion_npon votewascarried. Bills iii the, .amount of ~30~;,71a. as audited by the auditing committee were then presented to Council and on motion:;duly madefand carried were .ordered paid and the clerk iti=as instructed toissue warrants in payment o same Thereupon there being no further business to come before Council on motion duly made and carried, Council adjourned to meet in .regular session on Pvlonday July 26th, at the hour o~ x:30 P.P,~, in the City Hall the .usual meeting place.,,,
