Thereupon the Clerk presented to Council a tabulation_submit,ted by
the State Division of Highways showing'the apportioninent,oP the April ,
1943 4uarterly payment of the 4 cent gas tax alloeation~"the City of
Elsinore being alloted the sum of ~p245.18.
Whereupon it_vaas moved by_Cquneilman Mills and seconded by,.Couneil-
man Lovejoy that,the tabulation submitted by the Mate Division of•.Eiigh-,

Thereupon a communication from the So, California Gas.Co.~was presented
to Council in which 't hey suggested to Council that they consider it aduis-
able that Council~pe~s and adopt a City Ordinance regulating the'ttirning
on oP Gas.
Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Merr3fie3d and seconded by Council-
man Perret that the matter h.e"referred to the City Attorneywith instructions
that he draft the proposed Ordinance as suggested and -thaf;a coirnnunication
be forwarded to the Gas'Co, advising them that Council agree-to pass and
adopt the ordinance proposed by them providing tp.at,they agree to assmme
the expense of publishing;~the ordinance which znotion:upon,vote was carried.
Bills in the amount'o~" p1749.66 as'audited by the auditing committee,
were then presented to Council, which on motion duly made and carried
were ordered paid. and the,-.Clerk.-was instructed to issue., warrants in pay-
