Property Damage.Insurance Policy covering the Gity+s owned ears~wll
expire on May:lst,~:1943-and requested that }ie-be authorized°to issue
a renewal of this policy at the quoted premium of X82,50 for the ensuing`
year.

the City+s Automobile Policy covering the 'dater Truck Police Car and

Whereupon the Clerk presented to Council a communication from Virda
Burst in vrhich she complained that Dr. :Noodruff a next''d'oor neighbor
was keeping chickens in violation of the City Ordinance, and requested
that proper action be taken on the matter. -

Ghereupon`the Clerk presented to Council $he Annual Franchise Tax
report of the California 4'Tater and Telephone Go, submitting their'
check in the amount of X179.63 to,.cover_Franchise,Tax,due the City;for

;6'Jhereupon it was moved by Councilman Ferret and seconded by.Counci-
mari PvIills that the report and check from the California BVater and Tele-
phone Co., be accepted and that said check for X179.63 be deposited to 'the - -
credit of the General Fund, which motion upon vote vaas unanimously carried.

from the State of California in•the amount oP X69.33 "to,eover and rein--- \
burse the City for the expense encurred in the relocation of the U.S.

Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Pills and seconded by Council-'
man Lovejoy that said Check for X69.33 be accepted and ordered deposited
to the credit of the General Fund, which motion upon vote was carried.

Prom P.?r. Francis Gleeson of San Diego, California via :presented t~!o Council,
in vrhich he complimented and thanked the Elsinore Police DepTt. for the
prompt.:and efficient manner in which they handled "the matter:of'detaining
and later returning to hirs his truant,aon., .

man Perrifeld that said communication be received and filed which motion
upon vote was carried.
Thereupon Resolution #387 was introduced and read'bring a resolution
of th'e City Council providing that the contract with'the County of River-
side providing for the services of the County Health Officer vrithin the
City of.Elsinore, dated January ~2th~ 1942'ar~d expring:J"une 30th,-1942
be and the same is b.ereby rexiewed;for;a;,period oP one year from July~lst
1942 to";:June,"30th„ 1943-and further providing that said contract be re--
newed'aiid extended`Eor a period of one year from July lst,!1943 to June
30th, iQ44. ~ ...
V'dhereupon it was moved by Councilman Lovejoy and seconded by Council-
~an;Merr.ifield that Resolution #387 berpassedandradopted as.read which
motion was ca~tried .by the .following vote;:.

Drive, and upon dtie .consideration of, said matter. ; - °s;~-
It,was moved by Counc.lman,,Nfills,and seconded by Councilman Zovejoy
that` it' be au£horized to purchase two ~51000.OQ:yvseries_, "G";U.S. T~Var Bonds
with funds from the `oVater Fund, subject to the City Attorneyfs approval
as to the legality of this;aetion, which motion was carried by,the
following, votes -
Ayes: Councilman: Lovejoy, Merrifield, Perret, NTills,„and Patieh
Noes: None

MINUTE RECORD OF REGULAR MF.BTING OF THE CITY COIINCIL
MEETING HELD ON THE 26th DAY OF APRIL Is 43
thereupon it was reported to Couneil that it has been overlooked
to request that Cheif oP Police M. Harmon Post the required X2500.00
Cheif of Police Bond.
Whereupon it was moved by Councilman ~i11s and seconded by Council-
man Merrifield that the matter oP the required Cheif of Folice Bond
be referred to the Police Commissioner for action on said matter, which
motion upon vote was unanimously carried.
Thereupon R2ayor Matieh Police Commissioner reported to Council
that the City Police car was in need of an overhaul job and suggested
that he felt it is advisable to purchase and install a reconstructed
engine instead of overhauling the engi_Ze in the ear.
tilhereupon it was moved by Councilman ferret and sedonded by Council-
man Lovejoy that the matter of overhauling the Police car be referred.
to the Police Commissioner with power and authority to act nn said
matter; which motion upon vote was carried.
Bi11s in the::^amount of X3555.50 as audited by the auditing Committee
were then presented to Council and on motion duly made and .carried were
ordered paid and the Clerk was instructed to issue ~~~arrants in payment
of same.
Thereupon there being no further business tocome before Council
on motion duly made and carried Council adjournment to meet in regular
session on NSonday May 10th, at the hour of 7:30 P.llR. in the City Hall
the usual meetin place.
