A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Elsinore v/as
held on the above date. The meeting vvas called to order at the hour of
7:30 Y.l`. with T;?ayor P,4.atich in the Chair.

The minutes of January 25th, 1943 read and approved.
'Inereupon tine Clerk pro-tom presented to the Council a corrimunicatio
from the Riverside County Board of Supervisors informing the City Coun-
cil that the agreement betrveeri the County vealth.Dept. and the City
of Elsinore for Health services for the year 1942 had expred';January
1943, and asking the Council to adopt a resolution:to extend the agree-
ment for 1943 if the city would. like to continue with the.H_ealth Service
',hereupon it was moved by Councilman Tills and seconded b~r:,Cozncilman
Lovejoy that Resolution ,`385 be passed being a resolution:by.the City

Council of -the Cityr of Elsinor'e,`:-whereby the Agreement entered, into on
the 12th day of January 1942 be authorized extended,for.a ~ero`d of
one year covering the year 19L.3-'from January lst, 1G~:3 to sanitary 1st,

Thereupon the Clerk pro-tem'presented to Council a letter from Fair=
banks worse requesting the return of the "!,>2CO.OOhCheck posted as bond for
tine bid on pumps at the seti^rage disposal. plant. 'fhe Clerk pra-teni eras inst-
ructed to-return said check.
hr. Glenn R. Davis of L"orona then appeared before the Counc'ih in re-
gard to t'r~e Public Jance 'meld in the ^lovrnsend .hall on Saturday .nights. The
problem of police' protection ~raa discussed.' Mayor i~t.~.;atich as ,Police Com-
missioner decided to cohfer viith City Attorne;T Eugene Best, "and the County
Officers as to tine manner of conducting and amount charged for public
dances in other iolaces, -and if advisable to amend Crd. ,';'161 to ooriply vaith
County Grdinances covering Public Dancing.

The City Treas. report .for dan. 19.3 was read. Whereupon a motion
by Councilman Mills seconded by Councilman Lovejoy that.. the Water &
License Clerks report and the City Treas. report be accepted and filed,
Which motion upon vote was carried.
Report of Commissions.
Police Commissioner - -Mayor baatieh reported the receipt of a letter from
the District Defense Council that a meeting of importance will be held in
the County ~dupervisors Chambers in Riverside on Fe. 16, 1913, and asking
that all those interested in Defense-Council.-operation be present--at the meet-
ing. The Go-operation of rural and City Districts as one problem to be
discussed.
-Mayor IIFatich then reported that he had asked the So. Cahf'. Gas.Co.
to Bring to Elsinore certain motion pictures pertaining to the method used
by England during actual war time in maintenance of public utilities. Mr.
Pelkman to announce place and date of,,:pietures to be shown.

Eire-Commissioner - - Mr.,Merrifield read s letter>from Pioneer Rubber
Mills in regard to an orderplaced by the Gity Por 500 Yt, of fire hose'.
Due to a new ruling the order will be held up until the War Production :

'~ Councilman b4errifield also reported the Grammar school teachers
are having quite a problem with dogs running loose on the school grounds
,~ The School Board asks the help of the City Police Dept:.. in picking up
~, dogs without Licenses.

Street Commissioner - - J, E. Mills. Some repair will be made to City
I Streets when the weather clears up.
,, Bills in the amount of ~y~72.10 were then presented to the Council
~! and on motion duly made and carried were ordered paid and the clerk
pro-tem was instructed to issue warrants in payment of same.
Thereupon there being no further business to come before the
~j Council, on motion duly made and carried, Council adjourned to meet in
,i regular session on Tuesday, Feb.23rd, 1943, at the hour of '7:30 P.M.
