A Regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Elsino
was held on the above date.
The meeting was called to order at the hour of 7:3~ P.;k1.

Councilmen: I:?errifield, Goodcase, '.floods, and D,~ayor P!atich answe
ed the roll call; Absent, One Longe.
Before the regular business was started vac had several
visitors`, of which all were asked if they had anj business to
transact before the Council or if only visitors. "s'de had both

His first topic was pertaining tor.,POSt Tatar Road project.
Sponsered by State Chamber of Commerce, Auto Club of
Southern Calif.,"and others.

and others interested to get togather,and plan on some of Elsinores
wants and needs, so as to have something definate to submit to
proper Authorities at the proper time.
Subject ,~ 2 tr?as rumors of a BIavy Hospital at Elsinore or
near vicinity. P:~x. P.?cYee stating he was going ~o San Pedro 'T'hursday
or T'riday to contact proper Authorities on same.
Subject ~,` 3 Pertaining to Firemans fall some few vaeeks
previous`at the ~Jomen's Club House, sponsered by the Chamber of
Commerce, and said ball was not as successful as it was hoper it
it would be , although. a check was presented for proceeds derived
from said ball, or dance.

and try figure ammount of Ft, ditch digging on the several projects
then make" contact vrith some one zvho has a ditch digger on price
per Ft. Some projects are almost impossible to dig with pick 2;. shovel.
Commtzcation was read ~~?~~~~~~~~ from Johns-P~"anville Co.
.submitting bid ,on 1,300 lateral Peet 10°' Class 200 Transite Pressure
Pipe a- ~ ?.,.144 per ft. F'OB :Matson, Calif. with full freight allowed
to Elsinore.
Each length of pipe complete with couplings, and rings.
But not including Calif. Sales ^1 ax. TJet 30 Days Prox.
Motion by b~errifield see by Goodcase that bid of Johns-
T"ansfield be ascepted as per bid,and Clerk be instructed to place
order with Johns- P3anvi1le Co, for same as per Bid.

Commueation was read from U. S• federal commutation commission containing
Radio Station Construction Permit.
Commucat~on from i~r. Hartman of High School in answer to letter d,mitten to him
in regard to Hallotiveem entertainment for our School Children. Halloween night.
Sponsered by City Council as a 'e~'hole.
i~~ir FIartman stating the Student Body thought a street dance would be nice fox the
higher grades, and a costume parade , and shova for the log+rer grades.
Such suggestion met with the aproval of the City Council. Being agreed by Council
it was too late to hold said dance on ttain at. as there was not time to get permission
from the State I?ighway Dept,,and instead urould hold said dance on FTeald St, betvreen
Pilain St. , and, Spring,St,,and same to be roped off for the occasion.; and City of Elsinore
would furnish free sandwiches, and hot chocolate or coffee,
And all smaller children appearing in costume: in parade a free shshsv.
Co~mucation from B.S. was partly read pertaining to the destruction of Fark benches,
and tables being destroyed at Laleshore Park. Council already being aware of such fact,
and not a great deal can be done about it.

and have him to take. over for the time being..

Neiv sewerage project has not been discussed with Tr. Johnson as yet, but suggests he. and
iEs. Johnson get to-gather on same, and. also try to figure or work out some flat rate for a
Sewerage conneetion,and report ~~~~~ same at our next regular meeting Nov.,Bth.,1944.
' Clerk asked permission-to prder necessary supplies , and forms for compiling r~J. H. Tax
for 195 from Sehwabacher-Frey Co.
