A regular meetinN• of tie city council of the city of Elsinore was
held on the above date.
The meeting was called to order at the .?.our of 7:30 P.Ni. with Il4ayor
iiatieh in the chair,
Councilmen: C.A, Lovejoy, Leslie Pr~er•riPield, Iienry,Perret, J.L. Pills
and N. i~i"!atich ansv~rerad the roll call.
Absent: None
%~iinutes of the last regular meeting of council held on iria~ch 13th
v+rere then read by the clerk and there being no corrections or omissions
vaere approV' ed as "read.
Thereupon the 6Fater & License Clerkts amended report for the .:onth
of r'ebruary eras presented to Council v~~hich on motion duly made and
carried ~n~as accepted and ordered placed on file.
Thereupon a communication from Ralph L'. Hughes, Chairman of the
:Riverside County Defense Council, was presented to Council in +•hich
he reported r=lative to a general meeting of Defense Councils scheduled
to be held in San Bernardino and requested that Elsinore send a re-
presentative to attend this meeting.
Thereupon the Ci_erk reported to council the receipt o' check-from
Count-- Auditor Hicks in the amo nt of ~55.~Ohto cover tax collections
on personal property by the County Assessor.
i~,'hereupon it vvas moved by Councilman I~r"ills and seconded by Council-
man Lovejoy that said cl_eck be accepted and deposited totthe credit
of proper funds, v+,hich motion upon vote .~~as carried.
Thereupon a co!rnunication from ilirs. :~.L. t:+;cEwen, vice Chairman o_P
the Elsinore ~{ed Cross was presented to Council requesting a contributic
from the cit.y,to-,the Elsinore quota in the Red Cross Drive.
Upon Councils consideration. of the matter it was agreed by council
that such a contribution could not legally be amde and therefore in-
~ strutted the clerk to notify rrlrs. ~~1cEvoen to this ei°fect.
~ ';]hereupon notice received from the State Board of Equalization vvas
presented to Council relative to the application for transfer of
three lir,_uor licenses from S.H. Coogan and Tudy fieffner to S.H. Coogan
and Robe.t fieffner location 200 No. P,'fa.in St. Elsinore and council
agreed that no action be taken on the matter.
Thereupon Resolution ~3~}~jwas introduced and read being a resolution
of the tit;., council accepting a deed from George Sarau and H.L. Thompson
conveying Lot 1 anu unnumbered lot lying north o` Lot 1 Block ly of
tlsinore, to the City of lsinore.
'Nlzereupon it v,-as ,roved bar couneilrnan .`ills and seconded by Councilman
Ferret that resolution ;39'7 be passed and adopted as read, which `,"

Thereupon the clerk reported to council th t Hazel Brock appointed
to serve as Inspector on the City ~7_ection-Board arould be absent from
the City on election day and that said r,osition be filled by a new appoint-
ment.
';hereupon it ,gas moved by Councilman Lovejo~T and seconded by Council-
man Perret that Paul Kuenzla be appointed to sere%e as Inspector on the City
', Election Board in place of Hazel Brock, i^r_~ich motion upon vote was unanimously
carried:

Thereupon Councilman T.7ills reported to council tr.at in the replacement
of the peer pump at the City well t'^_ey encountered on obstruction ih the

Thereupon there .being no furtl_er business to co~:~e before council on
!' motion duly made and carried co ncil adjwarned to meet in regular session
on ~~londay April 1G~ir at the hour of x:30 P.%~, in the City Hall the usual
meeting place..
