Councilmen Merrifield, Longe, James, Goodcaser•and Mayor !' ~ Matieh answered the roll call.>' Absent non ~~- j Minutes of the last regular meeting oP _.•th. were read, i there bring no alterations or corrections the minutes were approved as read. ,:. • - - There was several >visitors present of `whie2 most of them had some business of some ''sort to bring before the Council.'" Mr Gail Gough was called on first he being the Chairman of the program eommitee for.V:-E Day also reporting-.on!the'same committe was Bev. Arthur of the Council of Churches.. The Council was not in a position to, give 'a definate answer on either sub3ect , but would. try and:have a definate answer by our next regular meeting night April 2Sth. 1945.. Mr. Parlier,the City .Building inspector reported on two different subjects. One was the-Massie building on'south Again St. The'-owner of said building has made 2 or 3 trips from Long Beach, and was unable to secure help to repair building,-,And had sent out Tierods which are ready to install as soon as help can be secured. The other report A Court on South Main St. had built some buildings , and is thought some; part ,qf them;,egtend beond Private Property'li~its<nto:the City Alleys. Motion by Lunge see. by Merrifield.. that:. bulding=3nspe:ctor.ba authorized to engage City engineer Del Crane to run survey, and set 5 pfficial stakes to insure the City that said property,in-,question ison City Property:.
