MEETING HELD ON THE 28th. DAY OF March 1945 19
;k-regular meeting of the -9ity Council ofthe City of
Elsinore was held on toe above date.
The meeting was called to order at thh hour of 7 :30 P.m.
with Mayor Matich in the chair.
Councilmen Merrifield, Longs, Goodcase, James, and Matich
answered the roll call. absent none.
Minutes of'the last regular meeting-of March 14th. were aw
read and approved.
B ills were presented and inspected and audited by the
auditing commitee.
Motion by Merrifield sec by J ames that bills be allowed ier
and Clerk be instructed to draw warrants on same.
Motion carried and so ordered.
There was quite a number of persons present , and presente
a petition opposing Resolution 413 pertaining to the closing of
L !me St. from-Lakeshore Drive south tothe Lake.
The Pattioners were notified the request was being made the
through the regular channels of law., And that their pertition
would have to go through the same channels, and they would be
notified when the proper time comes for them to present their
partition.
Johnnie Allen was present standing by as a represenative
11of the Chamber Of Commerce.
Also present was Bill Rankin representing the National
Clothing Drive.,and explaining some the high points of said
drive , and would like the endorsement of the City Council.
Motion by Longe sec by Goodcase that Mayor Mativh get
in touch with the Editor of our local paper , and have the
indorsement of the City Council published.
G oodcase's Report.
Water mains on the last project were in, and in very good
shape , but thought it adviseablenfor the City to buy more
6 and 10 in. pipe as there were more water mains that are going
to need attention soon.
Motion by Longs sec by Merrifield that Water Commissioner
be allowed to ask for bids for 7ooft. Class 200 - loin.

N othing to report.
Merrifield's Report.
Would like to have some of the streets in Smiths Addition taken care of . or
have a little done on them as some are getting in an almosto impassible condition.

Nothing to report.
There being no further business to come before the Council a motion was
entertained by J amen sec by Merrifield that meeting be adjourned to our
next regular meeting night April llth. 1945.
