M. with Mayor Tarpley.. in the chair. Councilman: Leslie Merrifield, Jahn Allen, Robert Goodwin, Nick Matich and Mayor Tarpley answer roll :call. .Thereupon the clerk read the minutes of the June ~.th meeting and there-being no errors or ommiasions were approved''as.read. This being the time set for the opening oP sealed bids for a polio ear Par the City Police Dept. the clerk opened the Pollmt~eiag bids. George and Herrick, Ford Dealers one 1946-Ford Fourdoor Sedan'y.00.00 Lakeside Chevrolet Co. one 1946.4-door Stylemaster Sedan ~ 325,00 -Zhereupon-it was moved by Councilman Matieh see:,nd by'Coun»ilman Allen that the bid oP the Lakeside Chevrolet Co. Also nime letter in favor,oP_rezonigg by parties who had signed petitio: Tf'Ghereupon it was moved by Councilman Allen second by Mayor Tarpley that ordinance No. 26~`p be adoptedand.passed to its second reading. He asked that he be allowed to-'buy clothes and other needed ef~ticles for city prisoners. Whereupon it-was moved by Councilman Merrifield second by Councilman Goodwin the Ch~if of Police Si~rtnen <be authorized to buy such clothes aizd cigarretts"as needed-Por City 'prisoners. Which motion upon vote was carried. Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Merrifield second by Council- man Matich that Councilman Goodwin be authorized to proceed with the building oP a suitable dog pound at the City yard. Which motion upon vote was carried. Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Allen second by Couneilmas Goodwin that Councilman Merrifield by granted to leave the Stat® while on his. vacation. Which motion was carried on vote. Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Allen second by 9~uz~4~,1~~~ Matioh that Water Supt. Johnson and Water Commissioner Goodwin be auth ized to sell old pump Por what they thought s right prie®. Which motion upon vote was carried. Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Merrifield second by Council- man Allen that bills be allowed as audited by auditing Committee and Clerk issue warrents PQr same. Whieh;+motion upon vote was carried. Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Merrifield second by Council- man Matioh that City Treasurer and Clerks report be accepted as approved by committee and ordered filed. Which motion upon vote was carried. Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Merrifield second by Council- man Goodwin that City water license Clerks report be accepted as read and filed. Which motion upon vote was carried. Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Matich second by Councilman Merrifield that Councilman Robert Goodwin act as Mayor pratiem during the absence oP Mayor J. A. Tarpley. Which motion upon vote was carried. Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Matich second by Councilman A11en that meeting adjourn to meet again on July 15th., as an adjourned meeting at the regular time and place.
