A regular adjourned meeting of the City Council of the City of
Elsinore was held on the above date. -The meeting was called to order at
the hour of '7:30 P, M. with PrIayor Tarpley in the chair.
Councilmen: Leslie Merrifield, John Allen, Robert Goodwin, N. Mat-
ich, and Ivlayor J. A. Tarpley answer roll call.
PaIinutes of the April 22 meeting read by the Clerk, and there being
no errors or ommissions, they were approved as read.
~PJhereupon it was moved by Councilman Matich, second by Councilman
Goodwin, that City re-advertise for bids to drill city water well at
Warm Springs Park, and that Clerk have same published in local paper
two times. 'vl~hich motion upon vote was carried.
?^jhereupon it was moved by Councilman ft~Iatich, second by Councilman
All~nr,th~t~& nevvslease be drawn up for the American Lee~ion, granting
them the Easterly half of lots that they now hold a lease on. Park
Commissioner Merrifield t.,o take care of this. TP!hich motion upon vote
was carried.
V;hereupon it was moved by Councilman Merrifield, second by Council-
man Goodvlrin, that City accept agreement with California Electric Power
Co., pertaining to transformer and lights for ball park. Also that the
Clerk and Mayor be authorized to sign same. ~~lhich Motion upon vote was
carried.
Thereupon a letter was read from the Chamber of Commerce asking; the
Council to raise the license fees on transient photographers. There voas
some discussion on this, but there vas no action taken.
Councilman Goodwin repor%s that one of the City Employees had ask-
- ed for a raise in salary. He also read a letter fho~i Attorney Best in
egards to selling City .property.
It4ayor Tarpley appoints himself and Councilman Allen on the disaster
nd relief committee. He also appoints Councilman Allen to represent
City on the summer Recreation program.
4+Ihereupon it was moved by Councilman Matich, second by Councilman
oodwin that a notice be put in Leader Press on P,4ay 23rd, that all lots
e cleaned within thirty days, otherwise city will have them cleaned and
will bill owner for same. Which motion upon vote was carried.
Thereupon it was moved by Councilman 'Matich, second by Councilman
oodwin that meeting be adjourned to meet a=>ain on May 13th at the reg-
lar time and place. SlVhich motion upon vote was carried.
