Thereupon the following letters ~,vere read: from 0. E.'Flander

delegate. From Southern Calif. Gas Co, stating Franchise for 19.5 with
check covering same vvas enclosed. Letter frorc Santa'Fe railroad accent-
ing franc.iise from City.

council to lave r ore time to consider rezoning for a ~tra.iler camp.

Best regardin~:i_r-. Parks request that transient ni:otographers license
be increased. 244r. Best ruled that to raise it above the present rate of
~; 2,C0 per day would make it prohibitive and not legal. Also reports
that State forestry had been notified that deed to property they vaished
to lease had been secured.

Jack Siegal being present was called on and asi>ed about build-
ing perrr,it for large apartment i_:ouse in Block 11~; Councilman Longe to see
City Attorney Best regarding; this and report at next meeting.
