A regular meeting of the city Couneii of the city of Elsinore
eras held on the above date. The meeting ;°ras called to order at the hour
of '7:30 P.1~:. with A/;ayor Patch in the cheir.
Council,-sen: Leslie iv~errifield, Clyde Lange, Vernon Janes,
J.A. Tarpley and I4:ayor T~.atich answer roll call. None absent.
The .ainutes of the February 11 meeting 4vere read by clerk and
approved as read.
Thereupon a resolution from Ttiverside County Supervisors was
read by clerk regarding charge to be made to city when prisoners had to
', be taken to County lYOSpital. This resolution to=as ordered filed.
At this time State Senator Nelson Dilworth comes in and is
riven the floor b~~T~.Iayor Nlatich, and he explains the workings of the
ninty million appropriation to the cities, also other subjects of intere~
Tr~ereupon councilman li'errifield reads Resolution DTo. 423. Re-
', garding riiring of City garbage collector.
VVYiereupon it visas coved by Council:an ItiSerrifield, second by
Councilman James that resolution no. 1x23 be adopted as read, which motion
was carried by the following vote:

Councilman James reports that A. E. Si_mnLen had been appointed
Chief of Police and A. G. Barber as patrol~an. i?e states that police
dent had requested a shot gun for police car.
?,hereupon it was moved by councilman _vierrifield, second by
councilman Tarpley that Police Corrnnissioner tarries be autherized to get
equipment for Police Dept; which motion upon vote was carried.

ized to have city clerks office and council rooms painted; which motion
upon vote was carried.
NThereuaon it was moved by councilman Longe, second by council-
- man Tarpley that bills be cello*.ved as audited by audit Committee and cler
issue warrents for same; which Notion upon vote •,aas carried.
CouneiLman Tarpley, wE--ter and fire com:rissioner, reports that
~ he expects a salesman from Food T¢acY:inery Co, on fire fig'rting equiptrnen
No other report on this til later. Also that he would contact a"dell
Drilling Co. in Los Angeles a.nd report at next reqular meeting.
