MEETING HELD ON THE 2Qnd DRY OF December ss 4Y
III A regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Elsinore was held on the
~labove date. The meeting was called to order at the hour of 7:30 P.M with Mayor
II~Tarpley in the chair.

j~ Councilman W.P. Smith, Fred Stokes and Mayor Tarpley answer roll-call. Absent
I~~Goumcilman Merrifiled and Allen.
~~ Thereupon Ciauixcilman Smith read the minutes of the December 8th, 1947 meeting
~~~and there being no errors or ommissions were approved as read.
.Thereupon Councilman Smith read Resolution 490, a resolution authorizing the
City Clerk and Mayor to sign a lease between the City of Elsinore and Phillip Wagner
for the: Sewer Farm.
Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Stokes second by Councilman Smith that it
be adopted., which motion was carried by the following vote.

Mayor Tarpley Yes Absent Two
Thereupon City Engineer Crane on behalf of getting titles cleared on those
certain properties lying Easterly of the West line of Block 17 of the original To~ansite
as shown on the recorded map of 1883 by H.C. Kellogg.
~,dhereupon it was moved by Councilman Stokes second by Councilman Smith that th
City is willing to exchange quit claim deeds with property owners on the West line of
Block 17 to be determined by a record of Survey Map which will be placed on file in the
recorders office.

Thereupon Building Inspector Meyers reported to the Council that he had "'
nstigated condemnation proceedings on the property which is occupied by the~Checkerbo~
afe and the Elsinore Yardstick Yardage Store. Reported he had notified the Owners by
egistered mail.
Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Smith and Second by Councilman Stokes tha
council go on record as backing up the. Building Inspector to the full extent of the
lding & Safety Code.

~~ Thereupon Mr. Meyers reported further that he recommended a Manhole on Lake-
~Ishore Drive between Kellogg and Lindsay. '
i Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Stokes and second by Councilman Smith tha
~a manhole be constructed on Lakeshore Drive between Kellogg and Lindsay streets and
Diving the Street Superfrxtendent authority to proceed as quickly as possible with the
construction of same. Which motion upon vote was carried.

Whereupon it was moved by Councilman Stokes and second by Councilman Smitkr
that the .bills as audited by the .auditing be allowed and the Clerk be instructed to
issue warrants for same which motion upon vote ws carried.
Phereupon it was moved by Councilman Stokes and Second by Councilman Smith
that the meeting be adjourned to the next regular meeting. i~Thich motion upon vote
was carried.
